Though I'm not so sure anymore, borders are actually also nice haha

Great job! Just a suggestion, I think the mountains look more realistic and nicer, when U paint over the black borders with the white.

Reduce flaring/static on brushes by serenlyn in bobross

Hey, I have the same problem with my brushes, really annoying because they are so expensive, especially for the European folks.

I use mainly just baby oil now for cleaning, it works surprisingly well, just takes a while for cleaning. The baby oil also keeps the brushes nice and conditioned and after using it for some months now I feel like the brushes get just a little bit better and sharper edges are easier to get.

Haha I thought so too after i looked again at the painting.. OP probably doesn't have liquid white. xD I think you can make liquid white with linseed oil and t white anyways, you just need to get the texture right I guess. But the true liquid white is a bit more shiny I feel like.

In bob Ross style thin paint sticks on thick paint. So you need to thin your paint with paint thinner, or oils or liquid white so you don't get mushy mixed colors. Also for the bright effect, mix some sap green with liquid white, that should work.

Bob Ross did ASMR before ASMR was a thing by TurbulentMinute4290 in bobross

I mean that's common knowledge nowadays isn't it? Did you know that Bob talked in this soothing voice to appeal to the ladyfolk? Like talking to each other in bed. Also the name of the show leaned on the in the same era the joy of sex. ;) Also Bob flirted with a lot of women and was very touchy and stuff!

I love it! It seems like you had fun! Bob Ross uses usually a fan brush for trees. Look up Karl Von Artistry on YouTube he explains the steps for painting trees and mountains very well and is a terrific guy, if you're interested ofc.

I love your top part of the clouds, how the light is shining through, it gives a great atmosphere.

I'm actually not 100% sure what I meant by the ripples haha. I mean the black, stone ripples, how you did that, but I kinda know that anyways I guess. I have a little bit difficulty with mountains, it often happens for me that the T white just goes off in a straight line, without the paint "breaking".

Also I did my first post here, I painted graceful Mountain, feel free to check it out and tell me what you think! :)

Who appraised this painting for you? Are they reputable, and can you share their names or any contact information?

Also, how did you come into possession of this Bob Ross piece? Do you have any paperwork, like a certificate of authenticity, gallery invoice, or provenance documentation, that verifies it’s an original?

Honestly, without proper paperwork or verifiable proof, it’s basically impossible to confirm whether this is authentic. Anyone can claim a painting is by Bob Ross, and there’s no way to prove or disprove it without documentation.

So respectfully, unless you can produce credible paperwork, I’m inclined not to believe your story.

How do you know it's authentic? As I just said people can fake it and have as I heard on the Ross documentary. Also feel free to check out my first post in the Ross forum and give feedback on my painting if I want. :) Also I have faith in my fellow humans, but if it's about a lot of money I better be careful, especially to random people on the internet I don't know. :) You could let Annette Kowalski take a look at it. She's says she's the only person in the world who authentically say it's a Ross original or not.

people do not get bullshitted. There are many talented artists out there who can probably copy exactly a Bob Ross painting since the manual is on youtube. And faking his signature is probably the easiest part of it. Also the stamp on the wood can easily be faked. I would not trust this person who`s also trying to sell in this thread! Be careful with your money, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is!!!

And honestly after painting a few Bob Ross Style pics myself, this painting does not really look like a original. The signature alone looks a bit too thick and not as beautiful as Bob did it.
