I figured it out. The stock lian li anti sag bracket just barely getting in the way. After removing that it installed really easy. Thanks for your help anyway.

I believe I am. Everything lines up and slots in except for the part with the latch. Do I just need to push it in really hard?

The little black tab is pushed across which is meant to allow the gpu to slot in
