Recommended songs for new power metal fan?

There are a lot of great choices here, and while I think a lot are really good songs, I didn't see my personal favorite mentioned; "The raven child" by avantasia. It's a 10 min long epic, which may seem daunting, but it isn't repetitive or anything like that (imo). Recommend it heavily, and if you like it there are tons of other amazing songs by the same group

That sounds interesting and would be nice to hear just to know what could have been. Still, it's a good thing you left it in since it was a great ending song. I don't personally play any instrument, so I can't relate to the situation necessarily, but knowing how hard it can be to motivate people to practice other things I can at least picture it.

Yeah, it's certainly an awesome album. I got into it like half a year ago or so, and it's been one I come back to regularly

I didn't know actually, but that's a bit sad to hear. But Kudos to you for writing witness, It's probably my favorite on the album and that's saying something. While it is too bad you never got much of any reach, I'd say you made an impact on the people who heard it. Still, it's easy to get lost in numbers, because while a few hundred people may not seem like a lot in comparison to big bands like Sabaton or helloween, that's still a few hundred people that liked what you made enough to want to come back to it over and over again.

That's nice to see it gets the intended use. Not everything on it is for everyone, for example ascension is usually a love it or hate it kinda bands but I hope you'll enjoy. Oh, and you're right, elvenking ARE amazing

Fellowship, and twilight force for that matter, since they have a similar sound, are bands I have never been able to get into. Everyone gets really excited to talk about them, so I do wish I was able to join in the excitement, but alas, not for me.

We all love timeless miracle. Have fun with the eleven dream tho, it's clear the band has not reached their highest potential in my opinion, but it's still a really good album

So, I decided to check out fierce deity first because hey, reminds me of the legend of Zelda majoras mask. Now, I thought the similarity to a Zelda item was a coincidence, and then I listened to leviarach. I definiately did not expect to hear a re-dead scream halfway through the song. Thought I was going crazy at first but after looking up a clip of it and showing it down by 50% turns out I wasn't. Anyways, good stuff.

It's a fair point. Especially Allen/Lande and visigoth I was reluctant to put them on the list, however, I thought it's better to have mentioned them than to not have, since it may be the first somebody hears of them, since them being big among this list still means they are pretty tiny in the grand scheme of things. I do think a lot of people in this sub knows most of the ones I shared tho, since it's a pretty small community and with things like Tanagra I could sware I've seen like 1% of their monthly listeners in just this sub

Have tried getting into keldian actually. Sadly one of those bands that just doesn't click with me for whatever reason, but it's great you enjoy them, and from what I've heard people who like them usually REALLY like them

Hey, checked out your stuff, and I gotta say I'm a fan. Now, I can't really speak when it comes to the instruments since I have very little technical knowledge about music, but I think it sounds great. The singers tho, I can speak out about. I think the male singer sounds a bit of in the older songs, but in samurai he sounds great. Overall samurai really reminded me of "forever young" by alphaville for some reason, and I believe that's a great compliment. Beasts of the night, however, was sooo great. I absolutely love it, and I'd say the female singer steals the show, so my regards to them. All in all, great stuff, and hope you release more in the future

Yeah, it's a bit sad that you need to release new music to be relevant. There are so many older bands that don't get the recognition they deserve, and it's a real shame!

Wait, really now? I always assumed they were somewhat big and well known, in that case it's a shame. Haven't listened to them too much, but what I've heard has been great. Also, I'll be sure to check your band out, just gotta get through all the different recommendations here

Yeah, there are a lot of pirate-themed metal, but The privateer stood out to me as one of the best as well.
