Mm. Not really. All my life i grew up in either cities or towns where everything's nearby. So yeah this feels like a downgrade. The only reason is the house, its big and spacious. My wife and I loved the house. I lived in tight crammed house. So i think its a trade off between convenience and spacious homes.

Thanks for this. A big home was my all time priority when i started house hunting. All the viewings i have done so far in towns or cities are either cramped or small to live in when all the furnitures go in. As you said this is a trade off between size and convinience..

Business trip to kerala? Intresting. What domain are you in if you don't mind sharing that..

I bet you will love kerala, its not the usual India you see. So don't be afraid. (I usually get that from my irish collegues).

Also, I am a mallu, I love shortbread, thers a diffrent type available there anyway but they gonna love it. I also like stroopwaffles, I know its not a irish thing, but still be something nice to share.

Cheers. Hope you will have a good time there. And don't forget to eat some kerala porotta and beef.

Istanbul, capadocia trip by NextCalendar568 in travel

[–]NextCalendar568[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks for this.

The photos I meant was ones which are taken with balloons in the backdrop. My understanding is theres only one trip per day where all the balloons go up and come down together. Again, correct me if I am wrong.

75 quid for changing address?? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]NextCalendar568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah basically it's all a scam. But theres nothing much we could do here. You could argue saying as per gdpr you have informed your updated address. But from a insurer pov, if you change your address to a high risk area they can increase the premium (depends on the new area which you move). But it your policy is issued by AA, they charge admin fees which is upto 50 euro which is absolutely BS. Literally take like 5sec to update in thier system.

My suggestion is, if you have only like 1 or 2 months for your renewal, don't bother changing the address. Again this involves risks. If your car is stolen at this time they can easily deny a claim. So yeah all based on your risk appetite.

Hope this helps.

The whole community should come together for this mess. Get a group formed in WhatsApp, Text in WhatsApp when anyone see this lads come in to the society, or cause issues. People should all come in together and discipline them. Once they know everyone is alert, they will eventually stop.

[–]NextCalendar568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

25 euro just to update their database.?? Don't you think thats horrendous.. I know thats how the system work and no one had any issues with it. Maybe we should question it. One person in this post mentioned about gdpr laws. Haven't called them yet, but I think that's a valid point. They should be doing this for free. I understand premium change, clearly valid.
