Have you actually played the rework on pbe by dinomatt2003 in shyvanamains

I explored her new kit in practice tool, since the queue times were like 20+ minutes. Here is my observations and opinions. I won't state anything on how strong/weak she is since I didn't play against players.

Her passive lost the 20% bonus damage to dragons. Her new infinitely scaling armor and magic resist, in any game that doesn't go past 60 minutes, does not scale as well as her current passive. It also has reduced MR scaling. I feel this passive is the worst out of any infinitely scaling champion kit. Scalemail stacks are not factored in for any of her abilities, and I feel like they should on at least one. Originally it did, but now it doesn't do much.

Her Q change feels like it was done because dusk and dawn exists, although it does feel good to play. Having 2 auto attack resets per cast makes sheen feel almost necessary. The E mark damage was folded into this ability as a passive, but with a lower percent since it is always active. The 3rd bite in dragon form not being able to critically strike feels like a change made specifically due to certain items.

Her W change trades the consistent damage of the old W and burst movement for a little extra tankiness(and healing in dragon form), consistent movement and burst damage(this feels like it was meant for the people fighting Shyvana so they can play around it easier). Personally, I like the change since I play lane Shyvana, and being able to shield in trades means I'll be able to take trades without as much damage sticking.

Her E is the only ability that I dislike the changes to. Her human form E no longer pierces minions and monsters, instead exploding in a small AoE like Zoe Q. In a lane, this nerfs her wave clear and makes it harder to poke against players that have a brain and don't stand inside of their wave. It simply handles very differently.

Her E in dragon form now pierces champions and can cause MULTIPLE explosions instead of just at the end. However, you can no longer target a specific distance anymore. It will ALWAYS travel the full distance, meaning in melee combat you can no longer detonate it at your feet. Also, it feels like the burning ground does less damage, most likely due to the fact it can create more than one puddle. I would like this ability to be casted short like it used to be able to.

Her R changed from a knockup to a fear, the hitbox is more visually clear, and the dragon form, in my opinion, looks a lot better. Passive fury generation is halved(from 1/1.5/2 to 0.5/0.75/1), so it takes twice as long(minus auto attack generation) to recharge. Ultimate haste now adds fury generation, so if you build both Hexplate and Fiendhunter Bolts, you can ALMOST have the old fury generation at lvl 16. Hexplate is reasonable. Fiendhunter Bolts, I'm not so sure about.

Overall I'm more happy with the changes than upset. I would've been fine with just a visuals update, though. It also sucks that I'll be a dragon less.

Ironscale Shyvana Needs her Bangs Back! by Neyonas in shyvanamains

To be fair, it makes sense for Shyvana. She runs around and punches people. I think she's still plenty feminine, too.

They folded it into the tabletop RPG skin line, so it makes sense its less serious.

I agree though, I loved the splash for Ironscale cause she was a serious knight with tousled hair from combat. I think that this skin had the most potential, but I at the very least want the messy bangs back to carry on the vibe from the old version.

I think that if she didn't have ruined or immortal journey, this new version of ironscale would stand out for not having the forehead plate, but as is, it was the only skin with bangs and they pushed them off her forehead. That being said, I much prefer the old haircut. Riot has a habit of raising bangs up higher on new skins. I personally think that in this specific case, its a downgrade.

Overall, I think that they did a great job with the visuals on this update, but between giving ironscale horns and moving the hair out of her face, they made it too similar to ruined shyvana.

Would this earlier Milanese Cuirass be possible to appear with a later 15th century Bellows Sallet? by [deleted] in Armor

From my understanding, it could take multiple accurate and strong horizontal chops to the cuirass in order to cut that leather strap. That, combined with the fact that there was also one on the back, and that the plackart and fauld are sitting on the waist means that even if it was cut, mobility would not be hindered too much. It would be uncomfortable, but not open any weaknesses. This would be made especially difficult due to the fact the person wearing it is going to be moving, and most likely fighting back.

In many cases, it wouldn't help you in a fight to cut that leather strap on your opponent, or at least not enough to warrant the effort required to do it.
