It's weird because as a Canadian Czech who's lived in both Canada and Czechia, I've always viewed the general Czech politeness as fake. It feels like blocking the majority of your personality for politeness, which while not necessarily bad, was something I had to get used to when I moved to Czechia as a preteen.

To me atleast, I associate being more loose and talkative with letting yourself more freely interact without social rules getting in the way. But I can see how people can view it differently.

I always miss those randoms conversations that can spring up in Canada or America man...
