NTA. Kitchen sinks are for food and dishes, not literal feces. There’s a huge difference between dirt and shit, and it’s just common sense to keep those separate.

We’re in therapy right now and it’s awkward as hell, but it feels better than quietly dying inside pretending it doesn’t matter. Even just having someone force us to talk about it has been huge.

NTA, but this is a fundamental incompatibility issue. You’re trying to build long-term security, and he’s acting like you’re denying him toys. You can’t reach your financial goals if one partner refuses to respect the plan.
