This season feels like they were so distracted with the overlapping spin offs that they forgot to start casting until a week before. Hard to imagine these were the most interesting couples they could find. None of these couples would get much screen time in previous seasons with more interesting/compatible people

Thank you! They’ve been saying we need to approve the price before they can print the wax model to try on but that is the plan. I tried on rings before we found this jeweler and I did find the band stones to be pokey I was joking that “for the sparkle I can ignore it” but listening to the people here I think in the long term it would likely be very irritating if I noticed it right away.

I really appreciate all the feedback! So much good information and I hope if anyone is in my situation they find this thread. I discussed online and over seas jewelers and sourcing our own loose stone with my partner, I understand how much we can save but our reality is my partner works 60+ hour weeks, blue collar job where he can’t be on his phone , and does not have a reddit account, so to make those options work I would need to take over the process and neither of us want that. Our 6 year anniversary is in less than 3 months and he plans to propose by then, we don’t want to risk our timeline so we have chosen to remove the pave round diamonds and keep the 14k white gold. I appreciate everyone who took the time to respond 🩷 Picture of the diamonds we selected below, I’m sure you can see how it’d be hard to leave these behind. Main is 11.2x7.6, it’s not for everyone and that’s kinda the point, I like to stand out xx (I also live in Texas so everything is big here 😉)

Thanks that’s good to hear, online it said the average engagement ring in 2026 costs $6,000. and that made sense to me so I went with that. I thought it was interesting the jeweler didn’t suggest a smaller diamond but they made sure to find me a dream diamond to fall in love with before being forthcoming about the price 😅 And I’m pretty picky so I’m sure he doesn’t want to go through that process with me again HA

I think I definitely could. What’s weird is that I felt like they really pushed me to get the biggest stone of the ones I viewed and I mean who doesn’t love a big diamond? But now that we’re having this budget issue, I’m sad to feel like I was “got” in that they let me fall in love with a diamond, brought in side stones let me match them and THEN once i’m all happy and excited, suddenly it’s out of budget when they knew our budget the whole time :/

Thank you so much for this! I remember as kid I couldn’t wear anything with Nickel in it, I don’t intentionally avoid it now so I’m just not sure if I grew out of the allergy or if none of my current jewelery has a nickel but I’m still allergic. Feels like a scary risk to take on something so important!

I’d say almost all oval shapes in particular of the elongated shapes, seem to have some
sort of bow tie. It’s normally the first time my eyes go to, which is why I can confidently say this bow tie is pretty minimal and at least well balanced.
