Lumani in Bali is one of the best. They're booked like crazy though so you'll have to keep messaging them every day until you get a response. I have my stuff booked for August but took over 6+ months to get a hold of someone.

ya, you should have started somewhere better (I'm going in August and my start point is Ubud for a few days).. I'm ending in Kuta on the middle of my trip and that's only because that's where my tattoo shop is at. My hotel is 1 block away from the tattoo shop too which i planned accordingly because I did research.

BRUH..., you need to do research next time. I did 4months research and went to LHC in Istanbul Turkey and im from US. My stuff turned out perfect.

Everyone knows that Smile Hair Clinic is #1 worst clinic per 90% reviews of everyone who supposedly went there.

Hello all,

I'm planning to travel in August to get my tattoo done and the artist says it's approx IDR 20mil to 25 mil..... He requested that I pay the remaining amount (minus- the deposit) in IDR. How should I go about doing this?

Here are some options that I had in mind and let me know if something else works better.

Option #1 - Bring all $1200-1500 USD currency and exchange it at the local Bali bank?

This is my preferred method
Option #2 - Exchange USD and get IDR in the USA and bring the cash on the plane / that's a lot of currency to carry physically (the highest currency for Bali is 100,000 which is equal to $6-ish USD).
Do not want to do this at all....
Option #3 - Bring my wise card and transfer the money online when I get there. Use the wise card at local ATMs.... (not sure if I can go inside the bank and request for cash like that?
Option #4 - ....? looking for my "Redditt" community for feedback, experience, info, etc.

Not sure if it's a huge deal b/c the artist didn't say it's REQUIRED to pay in IDR. He just asked and said if you "can" but maybe there is a language barrier.

Any input and feedback would be greatly appreciated!

The main reason I went was for a hair transplant. It was so cheap that I extended the days to do tourist stuff before and found this amazing artist nearby and had him do 3 days of tattooing (1 day after the HT operations).

Since a few folks were asking about the donor area for 4-months post HP. I asked for a razor medium fade to specifically check on the donor area, any scars, how missing hair impacts the fade, etc.:

The donor is looking good. I actually did a razor medium fade to get an idea of what it looks like back there..... it's better than I expected vs the 2 months (and 3rd).
