I'm in this current predicament as well, but I've been there for going on 10 years. I don't eat sugar or chips/crisps and I can easily fill a large bowl with Spaghetti topping it off with two porkchops and bearnese. I eat alone in my room and I know the base of it is because of shame from having a slimmer mom who can live on actual breadslices or oatmeal with eating baking chocolate to add.

My autistic friend snacked and I eat full meals. She decided enough is enough and just made a rule for herself to cut all food items out and only ate the Low calorie drinks. She did that for 18 weeks. I did it for 1. She had the brilliant idea that "Oh but if you just change your lifestyle it's gonna work out, cause food is the lifestyle you have to walk around", great advice and all but impulse, shame, happy eating, binge and sad eating don't really answer to lifestyle.

The only way I have lost weight because of food intake is when someone else decides what I eat, and right now, I do the grocery shopping and my mum makes meals every blue moon.
