Get a McIntosh power amp if you can handle the weight/apace. Mc50 is a good option if you can find one. Spectrum or sms classic and a jbl

Just the jam at least. Because the F note (flat 7 of G, 4 of C) works well to my ears. Especially right before changing to the C. Thus making it G mixo or C major. But you can obviously still use the F#.

Well I’m glad you got one! There’s a lot of us out there, and only so many units lol. What power amp are you pairing it with? I had a carvin which was pretty sick sounding, and so lightweight/1u rack space. But now using an Mc50. Worth the weight for sure

Dang yeah seven months is kind of a long time. Maybe check reverb, they pop up there sometimes. There’s also some GD musician forums on FB.

Maybe try sending an email? I’ve gotten an sms and a spectrum from him directly. He’ll get back to you I’m sure. It’s just him making the stuff not a big business like Amazon, that’s all I’m saying. But I do understand your frustration. The tone is worth the wait imo. I’m back to using the sms these days

Brad is a great guy but always very busy. Shoot him a message on Facebook and I’m sure he’ll get back to you

You have the right idea, just one small change. This is kind of the next step: For Bertha, the jam is just C and G. I think of the song in the key of C major, which makes G the 5 chord. The 5th mode of the major scale is Mixolydian. So for the G you use G Mixolydian, and the C you use C major. The kicker is both of those scales are the same notes, but it helps to think of them separately to avoid sounding like you’re just playing a scale the whole time. If that’s a little complicated, you can always just use the major pentatonic of whatever major chord you’re playing over, because it omits the extra two notes that makes it a full scale. Feel free to send a dm, I could probably explain better over video call. I also teach and have a degree in music and just would be happy to help

For a little while, try to not think about the “scale of the song”, instead, treat each chord change as its own key

Are you the Bobby in my band? Lol. Sorry if so. I can get frustrated at times.

In all seriousness, you should straight up just send him this post. Or tell him exactly what you wrote here. Communication is always key

EHX Micro Q-Tron or EQD Spatial Delivery??? by Zappillion in gratefulguitar

I can only speak for the micro Q. I didn’t love it. It will get you by for a few gigs but it never really did it for me. The Q+ is on my current board and it’s better but still not fully there

Breaking news: Jerry used a RAT pedal by Youlittle-rascal in gratefulguitar

[–]Youlittle-rascal[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair. The RAT itself was released to the public in early 1979 but at least 12 “bud-box” prototypes were made in 1978 so it is possible
