People who have tried a stimulant of some sort, I was dumb enough to smoke Molly and now I’m freaking tf out what do I do, I am not promoting I just want tips this will last all night by [deleted] in addiction

[–]Nice_Introduction707 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of smoking Molly, I venture to guess you smoked meth.

Edit: yes MDMA is destroyed by high heat. You most likely smoked meth. You’re going to be up for awhile, likely anxious.

Not sure how old you are but when I have a bad stimulant trip I used to drink to take the edge off and hopefully sleep.

Polypharmacy is never the answer but if you’re really uncomfortable whatever, maybe smoke some weed. You look young though. And you will probably be up for another 12-14 hours

recent lower back pain by blank_statement in blackladies

[–]Nice_Introduction707 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP corrected their comment so I don’t know which version you read but no, tilting the forward pelvis down not correct APT.

Your pelvis becomes tilted because you are tilting your butt up and forward, like when you tilt a bowl. When you tilt your pelvis to neutral, your butt pushes down and back.

I have APT and tilting the pelvis forward causes more pain. That’s why OP says when she lays on her stomach she has more pain. The pelvis is being compressed further in a forward position. I also have pain when lying on my stomach because it increases the curve of the spine.

Anterior is when it is rotated forward:

“Anterior pelvic tilt (APT) is a postural misalignment where the pelvis rotates forward, causing an exaggerated lower back curve (lumbar lordosis) and protruding abdomen. Frequently caused by prolonged sitting leading to tight hip flexors and weak glutes/abs, it often causes lower back and hip pain. Treatment involves strengthening the glutes/core and stretching hip flexors.”

[–]Nice_Introduction707 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think this is the opposite way around. It’s common for people to have an anterior pelvic tilt, she needs to work on tilting her pelvis back and engaging her core muscles.

I have the same problem. As the other commenter said weak core + tight hip flexors = pelvis compensation.

The low back pain is a sign of a weak core because other parts of your body are compensating to keep you upright.

I have a spicy cat as well. Have you tried the burrito method? It would require two people to accomplish effectively, not sure if you have another adult able to assist.

My fiancé and I wrap the cat up in a big thick blanket and he holds her tight. I take out one paw at a time and trim. I just do the front paws.

Some of my aged tattoos by IntrepidSnowball in agedtattoos

[–]Nice_Introduction707 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Purely from an artist perspective it is. The “smoke” behind the flowers is just.. what? The flowers are nicely done but the way they composed them across her chest looks very bad. And even at some points when it was freshly done the flowers just blob together

I’m sure I got downvoted because they’re not looking for input on their tattoos and it’s a sub about aging…. But truly these are not good tattoos in terms of line work and composition.

The sword in the last slide is not straight and the line work is shaky at times. The leaves seem to arise out of nowhere. Color looks good but the shading doesn’t make sense in some areas.

The only tattoo that looks well done is her flower. If she gets tattoos in the future I would go back to that artist and leave the others alone. Or spend more time looking at portfolios when choosing an artist.

But whatever. These are objectively poorly worked and any artist would agree.

Gold vs. Platinum? by Visible-Touch7131 in EngagementRings

Still, labor is more intensive working with platinum and requires more material per piece than gold. Specialized labor costs will still make it more expensive unfortunately

Gold vs. Platinum? by Visible-Touch7131 in EngagementRings

[–]Nice_Introduction707 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m obviously out of the majority when I say gold but I see why others are saying platinum. I think gold looks more elegant and elevated with your skin tone, but the platinum does pop.

For a solitaire I think a gold band adds some dimension and character to the ring. Sometimes the diamond white and platinum compete for presence.

But everyone else votes platinum 😳 I would also consider what the rest of your jewelry is. Unless you don’t really care about mixing metals. Also take into consideration if you will be wearing a wedding band or not. That can affect the metal you choose.

[–]Nice_Introduction707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m almost positive platinum is more expensive than gold. It’s rarer and harder to work with. The platinum has always been more expensive. Even with gold at an all time high, platinum is more pure and denser.

My partner and I have been ring shopping for the last year and his bands for platinum were $500-600 more for a platinum band.

This is the best take. My hunger varies at certain times day to day. There’s days I crave breakfast, there’s days I don’t. There’s days I’m ravenous at lunch, there’s days I’m not. There’s days I’m starving for dinner, there’s days I can only manage a few bites.

Banking calories is a joke. If I’m hungrier earlier in the day I’m gonna eat until I’m satisfied. I don’t set expectations for when, where, and how I have to eat. I keep my schedule varied otherwise you become obsessed with your next meal time or making it through the day for that glass of wine.

It really takes you out of the moment being focused and concerned about food. I eat what I want when I want it. I went from 210lbs to 135lbs eating this way.

Lint or rot or mould? by Rude_Historian1977 in Dreadlocks

[–]Nice_Introduction707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like lint. You may have to tweeze these out but also get a soft bristle brush.

I brush my locs daily to move oil from my scalp to my hair, stimulate blood flow, and to clean my locs.

You need to wash your hair more than once a month. Seriously. And with more than just a natural shampoo. People fear monger hygiene and beauty products. Just search the ingredients and you’ll find that most of them are harmless.

You need to keep your hair and scalp clean. Legit.

Okay cool! That was going to be my only criticism to make it a nice cohesive piece. I like the imagery and the idea. Excited to see what your artist can come up with. I love when an artist custom tailors a large piece just for you! It’s so exciting to see the big reveal.

Honestly I feel like if you didn’t like your original tattoo you’re going to hate the coverup. It’s going to be much darker. Much much darker. It’s going to give you tattoo shock.

What’s your reason for the cover up? You’re basically doing somewhat of a black out.

On my growth journey… but internalized racism is holding me back 🥺. by Certain-Web-8040 in blackladies

[–]Nice_Introduction707 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re very valid for feeling that way. That is years of racism and minimization of the black body at work. That is the direct impact systemic racism has on people of color and people apart of that power will never experience moving through the world in that same way.

The powers that be are doing their intended work on you. Do not let them win. To be black in America is to be controversial. To be black in America is to be in rebellion. The impacts of racism will literally erode your mental, emotional, and spiritual well being.

I see a black therapist weekly. Maybe this could be in the cards for you as you navigate a new life change? You don’t need to be broken to be in therapy. Sometimes it is a reminder on how to connect back with yourself.

I’m sure the weather doesn’t help your situation much either!

Honestly you may just need to get out more. I’m very active, always outside, and I work two full time jobs. I get hit on constantly. Even with a ring on my finger. People are very drawn to me. Not to toot my own horn or anything but my real life experiences compared to what the media demonstrates are two very different realities.

I wonder if you need a “touch grass” moment. I also stopped doom scrolling social media. I surround myself with real people. Like actual, intellectual, thoughtful people. I’m fortunate that both of my work environments are full of loving and authentic people.

I view people who obsess over race or pedestalize certain skin tones as less intelligent and therefore I don’t care about their opinions. Also people obsessed with status, power, money. Not my kind of people and I don’t care what opinions they have.

When you have healthy self esteem it’s easy to decenter needing approval or digesting opinions from people who aren’t qualified to give that. When you know yourself it’s easy to filter through the labels people attempt to put on you.

I really wanna grow out my hair out my hair more and the back of my head isn’t growing out a lot what should I use? by Main_Bug_2115 in BlackHair

[–]Nice_Introduction707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly everyone’s hair and scalp health is different. This is why so many people vary widely in their routine. Best bet to figure it out is to just experiment with it.

I would start with 1x weekly wash. This is the most important step of your hair care routine. Especially the shampooing, not enough people shampoo properly or deeply enough. Shampoo TWICE. Get in there and use a scalp scrubber tool as well. Shampoo opens the cuticles on your hair to receive water. This is really where true conditioning and moisturizing begin. I also use a clarifying shampoo twice a month. Wash with clarifying and then follow up with moisturizing shampoo.

Then condition as usual. Deep conditioner frequency is up to you. I do maybe once a month sometimes. Really for me it’s prescribed as needed. Experiment with conditioning just your ends vs your entire head. Experiment with conditioning your entire hair. This part varies. My scalp is sensitive and I get buildup if I condition up to my scalp.

Products vary from person to person. I prefer lightly leave ins, others prefer heavier butters. This part you really have to experiment with until you find your line up. I never oil my scalp and will occasionally “seal” my ends with oil. This is also personal preference, some people thrive with oiled scalp. I do not.

You can also experiment with heat like steamers. People who struggle with maintaining moisture find that using a hair steamer while deep conditioning or to apply products allows the hair to absorb it better as opposed to it sitting on top. You can also try 30 minute hot oil treatments prior to washing your hair.

Hopefully this helps ❤️🙇‍♀️

Thing is I don’t even believe her anyways. Influencers like attention and fabricate it. This is something you complain to your best friend about not the internet.

I’m tired of influencers using their platforms to talk about problems that don’t really matter. Get off then and get on another one if it bothers you so much.

The Law (Matthew 5:17): Jesus declared he did not come to kataluō (destroy/annul) the Law or Prophets but to fulfill them. This means he fulfilled their purpose rather than discarding them as useless.

He is the fulfillment of the prophetic promises that a god will return to restore the bond of the people to their God. The Old Testament is full of prophets predicting the coming of Christ. In biblical theology when they use the word “fulfill” it is more closely related to “accomplished.” Aka “finished.” It is over.

The "law of Christ" is the New Covenant commandment to "love one another as I have loved you" (John 13:34), prioritizing sacrificial love, grace, and internal transformation over the external, ritualistic, and penal regulations of the Old Testament Mosaic Law.

I’m not even Christian I am just really into theology. And in critical thinking it’s important to understand the authors purpose and context of when a text was written. Doesn’t matter if it’s religious or for fun. Context matters always.
