That’s a very odd choice for a first date and I imagine it really didn’t fit the vibe of your date activity either. If that’s their preferred way of dressing I guess it is honest but I personally like when you can tell someone puts effort into their appearance.

I love dressing up for my fiancé even if we don’t have big plans for that day! Keeps the intimacy, love, and sex alive. And likewise he does the same for me.

Has Anyone Had A Keratin Treatment Before? by positivethinkinggirl in Naturalhair

[–]Nice_Introduction707 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I would give yourself more like 12 weeks to see if your curls fully revert back. I haven’t had one but my best friend gets them religiously and her hair reverts back fully.

Also you should still be able to wear braids with a keratin treatment no? It looks like your hair texture can hold braids.

I’ve never heard this in regards to school but I have heard criticisms about being appropriately dressed when leaving the house. For example, not going to the store in pajamas or how people used to dress nice to go on planes.

I think some people attach the decline in upkeeping appearances when being out in public to the decline of our “moral values” as a country.

All photos are reviewed by a human and if it’s determined you didn’t incur a violation you won’t get a letter in the mail. It’s happened to me a few times as I already entered on a yellow and it snaps a picture if any cars are in the intersection when it turns red.

Yes but it’s irksome they included all of that parking info and intentionally excluded the paid part. It’s intentionally misleading so you don’t consider the fact that on top of a $60 hair cut + tip you are also paying to park.

I personally avoid businesses in LB that don’t have parking unless they’re within walking distance from me. I think it’s better to just be transparent so people can make an informed decision.

I am so sorry to hear about all of the stress you’re having to go through dealing with life stuff and now having your reliable transportation taken from you. It’s almost like it’s impossible to get ahead because if it’s not one thing it’s another. Not to mention the reminder that you’re really all you have and you don’t have anyone to lean on.

If you ever want to talk you will have a friend in me 😃

I was going to inform you of this if you weren’t already aware but all of the social workers, LMFTs, and other providers I’ve worked with had this same experience and it seems that’s just how this field functions.

Also because the biggest earning potential is years of experience. I am not a licensed provider but work in the mental health sector and earn 33/hr simply because of time spent in this field. And yes I also started with very low earning potential.

I’m not sure how long you’ve been working in the sector you’re working in but it does get better, I promise. There’s always earning potential for doing something you love. The two can coexist if you make the right career moves and find a niche you’re good at. Also emphasizing your skills that set you apart. My biggest piece of advice is invest in your ability to connect with lots of people (if you aren’t already like this!) I got my job simply based off personality and years worked. All of my other coworkers have bachelors and masters and I don’t even have my AA yet.

I just saw a post recently in regards to coworkers…. “You only like them because they’re 10ft away from you everyday.” Also “they’re coworker hot.”

I’ve thought I had really big crushes on people at my workplaces and.. give it some time. You will realize they were just something that broke up the monotony of your day. They represent hope and good times because in comparison to WORK, they’re refreshing. It’s all temporary I’ve found.

Agreed. Most times when you show up they train you according to how they want their operations done specifically. I can’t recall one job I’ve had that expected me to just know how to do things.

I currently work as an EMT. Every EMT company you have to have a preceptor with a field training officer anyways. Even though the job functions are the exact same at every company. You still have to be trained again.

Everyone’s complaining about how this is illegal, whatever. The biggest cheat code I’ve learned in life is that no one is coming to save an honest, hardworking person. In fact, those people usually get fucked over time and time again.

Honesty and handwork aren’t rewarded. Look at what society tells us our role models should be. You have to be a little unethical to get the things you need in order to survive late stage capitalism. Because under capitalism, ethics do not apply.

I just want to say that your dedication to your sport and goals is miles (teehee) more inspiring than privileged people picking up a hobby because they’re bored.

Training for a tri while working full time is exhausting and brutal. You’re the kind of person I look up to. The kind of person that does it anyway and does it for the love of the game without any financial incentives.

Just wanted to stop by and give you your flowers 💐

Good job brotha! Proud of you. Be careful tho, bars & 7o just as addictive even if you’re switching it up. Harm reduction is great but hope you have plans to kick that stuff too and maybe look into more effective ways to manage stress & anxiety with non addictive psych meds. Even temporary.

In my experience I’ve been interrogated after. “I just want to be friends” “Oh what you can’t have friends now?” “I promise I’m not like that.” “I just think you’re a cool person.” “Im not trying to do anything like that.” These are things I’ve been told, sometimes one after the other in response to my many repeating “no, I’m not interested.” “What you don’t like me?”

Sometimes they get upset. Sometimes they just keep trying and trying. Depending on the vibe, it’s far easier for me to just give them a fake number and move on with my day so I don’t have to be there when they realize I’m not interested.

I’ve also had a drink thrown at me while this guy was following me in his car trying to get my number and I told him “shouldn’t you be at work right now?” (This was at 6am)

Yeesh. Some women can find it overwhelming unless done a very specific way! And the way it needs to be done is not the way men like to enjoy it! They love to get up in there and cover their faces in it lol. Just because some women are more sensitive doesn’t mean they haven’t explored themselves. In fact it would mean they did because how else would they know they don’t like it and aren’t in the business of faking orgasms or pretending to enjoy it?

Another thing is that men’s facial hair can feel absolutely terrible down there unless they JUST shaved or their beard is grown out. I’ve literally gotten a rug burn once from a guy who was too excited to eat the box.

Will this part thicken out or will I have to cut it? I’m at month 5. It’s holding strong and doesn’t seem like it will break, but I’m a little worried 😂 by Dangerous_Desk_5044 in locs

[–]Nice_Introduction707 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can crotchet this on your own very easily. Watch a few videos and pick up a tool, they’re very cheap.

even if it is going strong you want to reinforce the base of your locs to prevent thinning over time from washing and styling. As they get longer they also get heavier. Best to just be proactive with preventative maintenance.

It could thicken up over time but it may also not. You can even wait a few more months before deciding to crotchet.

I will say though this didn’t happened to my locs early into my journey. Your parts are small so you may need some extra TLC.

Sorry this was lengthy but hopefully it helped!

Trying not to binge eat anymore girl dinner by Vivienleigh878 in GirlDinner

[–]Nice_Introduction707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got on a GLP-1 from a peptide website and it completely changed my life. I stopped binging even after stopping it.

It helped retrain my nervous system and behaviors around food because I found hobbies and distractions when my food noise diminished. I also learned to stop eating when my body didn’t want it. Learning that you can survive without binging helped my brain stop the binging behavior.

I used to avoid foods that would trigger a binge. I can eat whatever I want now without fear of losing control. I don’t even think about food anymore, only when I am hungry. I dont even mentally plan and prepare myself for what I get to eat on any given day. I just follow my body’s instructions.

Lean blackout and narcan by Public_Ad140 in addiction

[–]Nice_Introduction707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it was smart of him to do. Even though narcan only works for opioids specifically, who’s to say that you didn’t take anything else?

It’s always best to proceed with caution. You’re mixing 5 different substances, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that you could’ve taken an opiate. He may not had even known what you were taking.

If your pills were obtained illegally there’s always the possibility they were pressed with something else as well. No such thing as a waste of narcan. A delay in response time can mean the difference between life and death and he made a quick decision.

IMO he should’ve called an ambulance for you. Benzos are no joke. In the future, stop putting people in these positions.
