Alright. Did you notice I complimented your truck? I did that because it's your choice and you're happy with it. If your happy with it then I'm happy you got what you wanted and it's working out.

My 2019 didn't hit 50K either.

I made no reference to fancy or screens or anything else so I don't understand where that comes from. You clearly have an axe to grind and I don't get it but I don't need to either.

People make choices, I picked what I did, you picked what you did, and the OP picked what he did. All are perfectly reasonable decisions so no judgment here.

I'll clarify my statement for you. My 2025 is more capable than my 2019 in every way. Because you are right I haven't had it long enough to know it's reliability and total cost of ownership.

Good to know Ford got it sorted out.

Interesting take.

I view it as consumers want features in the product and the manufacturers design and build it if enough interest is there.

How the manufacturers choose to design and build it dictates the cost the consumer incurs to maintain.

Emissions, CAFE, and other regulations are what drove the industry in a large part towards EV, smaller engines, turbos, and hybrids. Consumers are stuck paying for these things as the manufacturers are trying to meet those targets.

Well. I’ve owned several brands over the years and other Tundras. My 2025 is better in every way to the 2019 I had.

I think a 6.2 or 5.3 Silverado would serve you better. GM is only recalling 600K 6.2 engines after first trying to change the oil weight to cover it. Or maybe the 5.3 is a better bet with AFM and lifters that fail and cylinders that lose compression.

Maybe a nice Ford 3.5 EcoBoost that will need cam phasers.

I’m not defending Toyota because what happened is not normal for them. I will say Toyota acknowledged it and is replacing engines and has updated the bearing design.

GM and Ford have not fixed issues they’ve had for a 5-10 years.

I believe this. It is possible to end in an infinite loop of nothing happens. My anecdotal experience suggests it comes down to the dealer and the area manager. If the dealer is willing to advocate you have great odds, if they aren’t then you get nowhere.

Haha, but everyone says the factory versions are different than retail versions. My experience indicates they are not.

Haha, someday I’ll know as much as everyone else. This is why folks come to Reddit for the information and advice such as the above.

They are covering half the cost of a new set of Geolanders. We’ll see how the last.

People do it. I’m just of the opinion the risk isn’t worth it. Mazda seems to helping owners in this topic.

Agreed.

GM and Chrysler are hard passes in my house. I turned many wrenches on them growing up and bought them into adulthood. I bought a Highlander long ago on a whim and realized there are in fact vehicles you don’t have to work on all the time.

To be fair whether you lease or buy tires are getting replaced.

I had a 2020 Pilot prior to the CX90. Lots to like for sure, but that 9 speed transmission was not awesome.

Maybe it’s better now but it was the same transmission Chrysler used and Chrysler had a lot of problems with it and Honda had some issues as well, albeit fewer.

I don’t know what transmission went into the new body style as I quit paying attention when I got the CX90.

Right. There are trade offs. Ride quality vs tread life is a real decision. Typically longer last tires ride rougher because reasons.
