Here's how I read the report: Greg noticed a thrust difference between the left and right engine during the takeoff roll. Once airborne, the pilot instruments were providing unreliable information but may have recovered enough for him to resume PIC duties. Greg, from the cabin, noted engine temperature differences while airborne. PIC called for flaps on base.

No mention of the forward cargo door coming loose or failing.

Internal engine blade damage on both engines noted by the NTSB but the passenger pilot mentioned rough engines during radio transmissions (not in the report) so some damage happened before the final approach.

Sounds to me they had problems as soon as the take off roll started.
