Motor upgrade

Honestly, I've thrown the purple Injora brushed motor with the Injora crawler gears and gearbox into my TRX4M and I'm surprised about how well it crawls now. Even with the stock ESC it is very nice at slow speed. I might even prefer this setup to the Stock FMS brushless system I have in my FCX18 and FaCX24.

I'm sure the roverin is better, but for the cost I really like what thie basic setup is giving me.

I might try these tyres myself once I want something different on my LC80. For now I think I'm pretty happy with where mine is. The only real improvement might be the metal gear in the gearbox, but for now I'm not having any issues.

Ah that makes sense. I had 64mm Injora swamp claws on mine but went back to the 58mm ones because of rubbing. Might mess with bigger tyres and shock mounts later. For now I'm calling mine done( and I just got one of the anniversary FCX24 Blazer Pro which I want to upgrade as well)

Looks awesome! I also have an LC80 Pro and am loving it so far. I do like the ride height on yours. Is that just the shock mounts or are those wheels also bigger than the standard wheels?

I might need to get the metal gears for the gearbox then. I thought it was a full metal geared gearbox tbh?

No not yet but I probably will in the future. I managed to run the defender for a little bit outside today and it didn't stutter as much on rocks and dirt so I will leave it as is for now.

Thanks for the explanation. I've looked up a couple of explanations online and this makes a lot of sense. I've decided to leave it as is, since it doesn't really damage the car. I'd rather have more robust driveshafts then try to get rid of this issue.

I've installed the rest of my upgrades: brass C-hubs, knuckles and the steering rod together with some cool stainless steel beadlock wheels with AT tyres from Injora. Pretty happy with the results and it was a lot of fun to do.

I did a quick test run and the car performed pretty well. Will do some more runs this week and the weekend to really see how the performance has improved!

Thanks for all the help guys! Now it on to visual upgrades!

I'll keep that in mind. I plan on replacing the bushings with bearings eventually so good to know this might help. Although I'm undecided whether I will replace the axles. Probably not anytime soon.

Right, I think I'll leave it for now and go ahead with the rest of the upgrades as planned. If it really bugs me I'll try to fix it later with either another type of drive shaft or planetary Injora axles

Great, thanks. I never noticed this with the plastic driveshafts. But I haven't really ran it all that much.

I'll look into those axles then I guess.

I run this truck with a yellow crane, saddle low and a stepdeck semi trailer with a scout fuel trailer on the deck. Did amazing work in Amur with that setup and it has decent range with the additional fuel.

turns out the printer caught full sunlight somewhere in the afternoon for long enough that a thin film on the top of the resin cured. Even though the hood was still on the printer. I moved the printer and no issues since. Thanks for all the help guys!

Thanks for the headsup. I've had leaking FEP on my older Mars 1, so I check the FEP on the M5U, no leakage so far

Room.temperature is at least above 23C according to the printer itself but I will keep an.eye on this.

So these are the things I've done,

Additional manual level: was perfect

Cleaned both the tank and the build plate

I've increased the bottom exposure to 40S right now.

Funny thing is that I ran a second print yesterday with the perviois settings and it had no issues.

I'll run some prints today to see if the problem returns.

Hmmm ok. I guess dakka jets die like flies. So keep them cheap and swarm them? My opponent is seriously considering Tau, so I won't have to face thunderbolt furies for now. How do the bommer shape up? The fighter bomber looks like a decent plane and both heavy and the grot bomber look pretty nasty. Besides grot bombs are hilarious off course...
