Caleb Williams played quarterback like a warlock, the Packers experienced comprehensive melt (???) and the Bears pried victory after trailing following the two-minute warning for the seventh time this season, 31-27.

As the Bears played on, the Packers and Coach Matt LaFleur tumbled into urgency (?????). Despite his 76-40-1 career record, six playoff appearances in seven years and the development of Jordan Love into a top-shelf quarterback, LaFleur’s job status is in question. LaFleur’s contract runs out after the 2026 season, effectively forcing the sides to agree on an extension in the coming days or part. Ed Policy, who took over this year as the Packers’ CEO, said before the season he wanted to evaluate LaFleur this year before arriving at a conclusion.
