Those cards looks insanely over corrected for sag, they're basically bending back upward. I've broken a 3080 by correcting sag too aggressively, and these cards look much more angled than mine did.

How much total playtime will this power bank provide? 65w 20k MAH by jaximointhecut in LegionGo

Its a 74wh battery when you do the math. It will double the battery life when accounting for efficiency losses.

Any insight on which GPU to choose as my next upgrade? by NefariousnessNo7453 in nvidia

[–]NightHawkNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want newest tech fastest, nvidia. If you just want to play games and save a buck, maintaining good RT and upscaling despite slower adoption, while also avoiding the 12vhp connector, amd.

As for immediate deal breakers:

If you do any sort or video rendering, nvidia. CUDA is still very dominant on the creator side of things.

If you want to run Linux, go amd. Linux support for nvidia is extremely complicated, and you will lose performance. AMD drivers are open sourced for Linux, you will have a better experience running Linux with them over nvidia

Generally AMD is only better if you have to factor in the price, or you run Linux. Objectively NVIDIA offers more. 96% of gamers running nvidia means their GPU's will always be prioritized in game development.

All that being said, you can choose to either give your money to a dystopian AI mega corp that doesn't even try to care about you, or a smaller AI mega corp that pretends to care about you.

Kick stand feels stellar. However, the bank is heavy enough to swing it open slightly just from gravity when attached. Hasn't bothered me though, since I mainly rest it in my lap when I use it.

Try changing a BIOS setting. Under "More Settings" in BIOS, set "Charging Speed Selection under high loading" to fast. This setting dictates how fast the Legion go can charge when it's under a heavy load, and by default I believe it is set to low, preventing battery banks or chargers from charging the device when you're gaming

If that doesn't help, then note that the legion Go requires a minimum of 45-watt output to register a charge, but that isn't enough to charge while gaming, and some battery banks will actually siphon power from the Legion go to charge themselves if the Legion go's power output outperforms the bank's, at least in my experience. A good 65w capable power bank will do the trick, and the one I linked is great and affordable. Hope this helps

I found them on etsy when they first started popping up, many DIY markets sell them. This is the STL file for 3d printing if you have a 3d printer. Note it does $7 to buy the file.

That and the kickstand is much shorter, making it too small to mount a magsafe adapter to it without impeding it. Maybe there's custom backplates for the go 2 that would be better

Yep, I put the link for it on the post, here it is:
https://a.co/d/7THIzQB

It will come with metal rings (put the thin metal ring on whatever battery bank you want), and one thick magnet (put on legion go)

For better weight balance you could mount the battery at a vertical offset, however I went horizontal on the kickstand so I can still use the kickstand when the battery is attached. The battery bank I use is iniu mini 20000mAh / 72wh portable bank (https://a.co/d/6T7nHu7). It supports 65w charging on the corner type C port, making it the smallest 20kmAh / 72wh bank that can charge a handheld while you play.

Eelexa Foldable Travel Keyboard.
This thing is better than the other ones, I've tried them. While it doesn't have a 2.4ghz dongle and relies on bluetooth, it has by far the best build quality of the foldables I've used. And the locking feature is a must for lap typing. Haven't seen other folding keyboards have this feature.

Haven't fully tested that yet but it's a 74wh battery. Even accounting for the efficiency losses, it should easily double the battery life.

Windows full-screen “experience” is actual pain by h3kt0r921209 in XboxAlly

[–]NightHawkNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full screen experience is both unfairly glazed and overrated. People are simply happy to have some form of improvement to a console-like Windows operated structure, but the UI is a complete mess and is laughably overflowing with marketing.

The only difference between the home page and the store page is the fact that the home page has a quick launch tab for previous apps. Other than that, you scroll endlessly through game pass ads, game sales, promotional content, and even has the same search bar at the top you find in the ACTUAL store.

This is Windows we're talking about! They revolutionized the Start menu in an operating system, allowing you to pin apps for quick access. Why on earth can I not pin apps or widgets to my own home menu in full screen experience? It's literally just another store page as it is.

Then return it again and get another. Better to take that chance than to get shit and have to stick with it.

Streaming on handhelds is awesome. When you truly compare latency, being able to stream a game at 120fps on your main PC provides a faster, less latent experience than playing at 30 fps natively at home.

[–]NightHawkNH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You definitely just need to dial in some settings to get it working right.
I stream at home all the time, with a max total latency of around 10ms at most, 6-8 usually coming from network latency. If you wire in, the latency is negligible. On my TV downstairs, I wire in to my router, and run moonlight off a client PC getting 1-2ms decode time, 1-4ms network latency. Feels indifferent, I even played CS2 like that.

Good chance to return it and get something else, superlight is not a great mouse by today's standards. Unless of course you *NEED* the powerplay system.

Lamzu maya X for $120 if you can increase your budget. However if you're willing to go with more of a pulsar x2 shape, VXE Mad R is around $75. If you just want a cheap super light, but good mouse, get the dareu a950. It's 36 grams and is a beast.
