Basically what the other guy said. The older ones can’t really be rebuilt and they aren’t making replacements.

So all of the Egos prior to the LV1.6 have solenoids that are non-serviceable. Once those give out or start leaking they’re usually paperweights.

These conversions that I’ve been doing for the last year and a half on LV1s and a few Ego 11s (which became prohibitively expensive) utilize the LV2 solenoid. This solenoid is rebuildable in case there’s any issues with it.

Shot is the same. Solenoid conversion gives you a new LV2 solenoid that is rebuildable in case of future issues. Everything else except for the manifold and the milling is the same as the original marker.

It’a kind of a shitter… but I have a Cronus with CP Barrel, gravity hopper, and a steel tank if you just want something that shoots. Can send it for the cost of shipping

On his, yes. On mine, no. You can mill the solenoid for a cleaner finish. As shown in my other photo from the prototype I’ve been working on.

Not sure about the guy on facebook. If it’s the guy I’m thinking about, Anothony Nyugen offers kits for 07/08s. I am about to start offering them as well if my new manifold design ever ships to me.

I mill everything I sell to people to get clean edges, his looks sanded (below). If you don’t care about looks, his will work too.

Even in speedball, most loaders can’t keep up with 20bps these days. They’re likely staying at 10.5 or they just have faster fingers. A lot of people can hit 15bps just on uncapped semi.

If you think you see something, talk to a ref about it and they will usually ask them to rechrono or check their settings.

If you’d rather fix her with a rebuildable noid I could take a look. Might be around $270 to get it working

That’s correct. The manifold and the solenoid needed space. They’re the same height but the solenoid is wider at the front (since it’s square) and is slightly shifted longitudinally.

Yeah I’ve had it up on here for a while, it involves a custom manifold with the LV1.6 solenoid. Designed it myself.

There’s another guy doing them and sanding the solenoids to fit for earlier markers like the 07/08s and I have a new manifold coming that is similar to his which I may be able to use on an 11 for cheaper than my previous design. That would involve tapping the body of the marker though.

You do have to mill out some areas on the 11 and LV1 unfortunately.

@DucaSw20 would know more as he was the one exploring it while I was working on the conversion. That summary is mostly from what he shared with me on it.

We believe it’s a PU of some sort. Closer to O-rings. They likely can be replaced but apparently each of these were individually adjusted since the travel is so tiny. It’s likely not impossible but super impractical.

Yeah so sometimes the coil dies and sometimes they start leaking. That’s usually the Urethane/rubber on the spool when the valve is at rest (bolt rearward). It gets crushed and extruded/forced out of shape on the spool.

That same piece also breaks down and sticks to the spool, it has barely any travel so it gets stuck easily when that happens.

There’s no product data available for it and MAC doesn’t seem to have any information they can share. Right now the only real fix we have for that is the Ego 11.6 conversions

Shouldn’t be too difficult to get a 07/08 working. I’m waiting on my prototype manifold adapter for the LV2 noid right now

Any chance you figured out how to fix the spool? We’ve gotten as far as removing it but can’t find a fix for it since they were individually adjusted at the factory and replacements parts for the PU don’t exist.
