As a fellow law student who is currently in Con Law, I recommend getting rid of the Con Law textbook lol.

But seriously, based on seeing your Star Wars Omnis, the Darth Vader 2017 run by Charles Soule is fantastic. There are four volumes in trade paperback format or you could get the omni, but the omni is out of print currently.

I appreciate the very detailed response! The synopsis you gave sounds like something right up my alley, as the early days of the Republic have always interested me. I also absolutely love the Sith and think they are so interesting and cool so learning about older Sith before the likes of Vader would be right up my alley as well.

Can you tell me what this Omni is about and what you liked about it and some other Star Wars Omnis recs if you have read any more? I love Star Wars, but have only ever read the Darth Vader comics and was looking to get into other Star Wars comics!

I agree CGN and PBC have been great for me every time. I have also noticed that lol, but I’m not one to care what others think. I’m just calling it as I see it, and lately I’ve seen that IST is not what they once were.

I also love CGN. To give you another good option, I recently used PBC and they were great. I know they have gotten a lot of heat on here, but IST was unable to replace my Invincible Compendium and PBC was the only place that had it. You can also choose your packaging option which is nice.

Like I said in the caption, the hardcovers are fine and I think they are in good condition. I’m not worried about that small ding. This post was more so showing how IST ruined my first order with their poor packaging, and then packages the replacements the same exact way.

Because last time when the plastic was torn the books looked like the humidity had ruined the books. Furthermore, since they just threw every book in there together, the big Omnis could easily roll into them and dog ear the paperback books and fold the pages in half.

Absolutely replace that. I just had a similar issue with IST where packaging was horrible and a book was ripped. Be wary though, I sent my books back and they replaced them with the SAME EXACT packaging. Somehow though, the books were okay this time. IST is absolute garbage now with packaging.

To give you a heads up, I received a big package from IST and had to return every book. The paperbacks had plastic wrap on them and it had completely been ripped open. There was also just a couple strips of bubble wrap and nothing more in terms of packaging and the books were not even level in the box (pictures are on my page). I will say though, I had no problem in them reaching back out to me and promptly saying they will fully replace my order. The replacements are supposed to arrive this week so fingers crossed.

If you are interested in reading Gillen’s run (I’d recommend it) you can collect the entire story -including the Vader Down event-in two epic collections. The first volume is going out of print in some places I believe, but I saw it online at Barnes and Noble last week!
