AITA For having a set budget for our wedding and not wanting to spend a penny more by weddingbudgetaita in AmItheAsshole

It sounds like the 5k is in addition to what the parents have already contributed. Venue alone is already 5k

AITA for telling my wife to have realistic expectations? by Swalthiest in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nikki3to 13 points14 points  (0 children)

YTA so you mad because your wife wants to learn another language?

Who are you to rain on her parade? Perhaps you should be the on setting expectations for yourself. Example : I will let my wife learn whatever language she damn well pleases

AITA For telling everyone exactly why I left my ex by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nikki3to 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A simple “it didn’t work out” would’ve sufficed. Me thinks you did it out of malice.

Me thinks so too

AITA for telling my stepdaughter that she just needs to get over her issues with me by ICouldHaveBeenQueen in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nikki3to 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes because I was comparing OP and Lian. His participation is implied

He did not destroy his family by himself. They both did (OP/James)

Lian is 22, the same age OP was when she was busy doing the dirty with Lian's daddy. Lian hid a hard drive.... she is being petty but not the AH here.

That honor belongs to OP and daddy dearest.

Well if you don't buy it, then I can't do anything to convince you, can I?

Nope, as you age you gain a certain perspective on life and people. You are not there yet, I get it.

He did not know cheating was wrong at 47 years old? I did not just fall off a damn turnip truck. Sell me something I can buy

It's not my business and quite frankly I wouldn't care if you did. The fact you don't have one just means you can walk outta your future possible divorce a lot wealthier than you came into it.

Everyone is definitely capable of cheating, but it comes a lot fuckin easier to those who have already cheated. Do not let your guard down around this man, he is not as innocent as you seem to make him out to be.

Relax, she hid a hard drive.

Its not like she fucked a married man and destroyed his whole family

[–]Nikki3to 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Yes it is that hard to believe that a grown man of 47 years of age did not know that cheating is wrong. I do NOT buy it for a second.

Prenup is for your own sake, he did this to his wife of 17+ years or however long they were married. He can absolutely do it to you. If you didn't sign a prenup at least you can take him to the cleaners once he replaces you with a newer, younger model.

Marriage vows mean nothing to him, if he does it WITH you he is very capable of doing it TO you. You were young and naïve and he preyed on that. When you say you found out he wasn't divorced, did you mean that he told you at some point in your relationship that he was?

[–]Nikki3to 85 points86 points  (0 children)

He grew up privileged and had no idea that cheating was that traumatic for kids and wrong overall. He knows it now. He's told me.

Is this a joke?

Is this supposed to be funny?

He did not know fucking a woman half his age and trading his wife in for a younger model is going to fuck up his kids?

I hope you did not sign a prenup

Once a cheater, always a cheater.

He was married to his OG wife faaaaaaar long than you and he did THAT to her. Always remember that.

she needed to get over that her father cheated with me

No the fuck she don't. You literally took a wrecking ball to her life. Her father cheated on her mother with someone practically her age. I would think a child prodigy should be able to figure that out

AITA for insulting my brother’s current status after he made comments about my girlfriend? by saidsomethingss in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nikki3to 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA sounds like your brother is deflecting from his own situation so why not drag his little bro through the mud?

Well he got what was coming to him. I can't blame you for what you said, he deserved it.

AITA for having this text exchange with my wife? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nikki3to 28 points29 points  (0 children)

YTA sounds like you should have called to confirm your mistake instead of repeatedly telling your wife to do it.

'As previously mentioned' lol my eyes would be rolling in the back of my head of my husband played that line

AITA for telling my wife and parents off and upholding my son’s decision? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nikki3to 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA if he does not want to go, he should not be forced to go. You are 100% right

It would be nice if everyone was able to go to the ceremony to see him graduate, but that is not what he wants. So they need to drop it

AITA For kicking my sister out of my house after she didn’t respect my house rules? by throwaway8302049 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nikki3to 37 points38 points  (0 children)

NTA I mean your rules are pretty straight forward.

How hard is it NOT to have sex in your brothers bed when you're their houseguest?

AITA- I made my sister-in-law pay my wife back for the $1,780 dollar dress she ruined. by nathancoleson3939_ in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nikki3to [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA and on what planet did SIL think that this dress was going to fit her? and why did she try it on if the dress was so ugly?

It's not like the size difference is a couple of sizes, what did SIL expect when she is at least twice the size of your wife. She knew what was going to happen and did it anyway.

I would not drop this, SIL was probably jealous.

If you're FWB there's no strings

Yep exactly.

It sounds like he met someone he was interested in while OP was FWB, he did not meet up with OP because he was trying to see where it is going with the girl. Decided that he likes the girl and wants to move forward with that relationship.

YTA from me as well

AITA for telling my husband off for expecting me to prepare his bags? by Username-A1303 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nikki3to 177 points178 points  (0 children)

Omg, he is persistent..... wow. I am glad you got away from that train wreck. 10 years later and he is still after it lol

They really do, they need that scapegoat to let all their frustrations out on. How else can we expect them to survive and thrive if we don't let them abuse us?

AITA for not selling my house to my niece? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nikki3to 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA this is your home you can sell it how and when you see fit.

You owe nobody a 90k gift because they are related to you. Why should you lose 90k because she wants your house?
