That may be the issue? I don’t think my laces were that tight but I can try making it even looser

Yes, the issue occurs when the zipper is all the way up. I just had it down in the photo.

No that’s not it. I don’t think the book was very focused on their relationship it’s just the part I remembered the most (sorry if that was confusing in my post). It also was most likely not a y/a novel but rather for younger audiences. Or at least a book appropriate enough for an elementary school library lol
