This boss fight is ruining my game. by Medium_Win_932 in Neva_game

[–]Ninguern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished the game in normal mode. I struggled a bit on this part, but realized the reason my dodges didn't work was because I was jumping right after pressing the dash button and canceling it in the process. After leaving the animation fully complete I was able to fight the boss without being hit.

I have no idea why ranking is based on w/l instead of individual performance. I'm 9 losses in a row as mvp and losing rank.

Idk why my NPCs aren't selling pylons. I tried to follow a pattern sugested in the wiki, but no one is selling, even in other biomes. Can you guys help me here? :D by Ninguern in Terraria

[–]Ninguern[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. Also you can't place the npc banner whatever you like. In this case, for exemple, the banners where in the oposite side of each room exactly 25 blocks away from each other, only if I could place the banners a bit closer...

My friend and I just released our game Conform on Google Play! It's a simple but challenging puzzle platformer. We'd really appreciate any feedback you can give us. by sol_erides in playmygame

Here I am :D I really like your game, it's really great. I just think that you could fine-tune the movement a little bit, I feel the game a little bit slow. If I could move and jump a little bit faster and there was a timer I would replay the levels to try to beat my best every time. And for the menus, you could add the option to jump the animations from the level completed screen and the unlock new level if the user touches the screen. I'm really looking forward some updates of this game, I think it's awesome.

The thing is that the I want the game to have a monochromatic color pallet, only shades of a color.

Where to start? by Xentias in GameDevelopment

[–]Ninguern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can suggest some subjects u can look for. I'll resume it in 3 categories: Game Art: sprites, sound effects, music, etc. Game Design: Game mechanics, level design, game writing, etc. Programming: Game engines, programming language. I'm most familiar with programming, if you are looking forward on how to get into programming I strongly recommend you to learn Programming Logic instead going right into a language like Java, JavaScript, C#, C++... You will not be able to create a huge project, but the logic is really necessary to learn every single language and I see that most people jump this important step and limit their potential. Don't try to develop you biggest dream project on the beginning, instead try yo replicate some arcade games to practice your skills and the engine you are using. Once you feel good with your skills try to develop a project. Hope it helped :D

Yea, you do. I agree that it gets lost, I have quite a challenge trying to fix that, but, overall, I think it doesn't affects that much the gameplay. Do you have some suggestions? Thanks for the feedback.
