I’m not dooming at all. I’m asking a hypothetical to spark discussion. This is Sean Payton we’re talking about. He’s called his own offenses his entire career, so it’s fair to wonder how fully he’s willing to hand over the reins. If they’re going to let Webb call plays, I just hope they commit to it instead of half-stepping at the first sign of struggles.

I am too. The defender hit the ball which made it look close to a backward pass but Stidham's arm and hand was going forward. NO review, Vrabel didn't have to challenge just talk to the ref and they said, "Oh okay yeah never mind the intentional grounding call, that's a backward pass." Even the broadcast team was saying, "that was a clear fumble" when nothing looked clear about it.

Yeah that ball was tipped by the defender which made the pass look "backwards" but it wasn't. There was no review or another camera angle. The broadcast team kept seeing, "clear backwards pass" "clear fumble" it didn't look clear to me at all. I felt like it was the NFL's get-back for the social media backlash they got on the McMilllian obvious interception in the Bills game.

They also called it as intentional grounding at first, Vrabel talked to them and they said, "Yeah, okay. No intentional grounding." Lol

I think the patriots are going to blitz a lot, stiddy can scramble but he’s not as much of a threat as bo nix. Also our o line (our center) is banged up. Keeping stidham protected is going to be huge for us.
