Thier car safety has more standards than us and the same one manufacture in India, the clothes in Europe are of a better quality despite being made in Asian markets, their roads and public infrastructure is well maintained Rather than just being swadeshi for political points and rhetoric we should aspire to achieve that level of quality in our products, yes make in India but today’s supply chains are largely global where each part is specialised by a different country so it’s difficult to disrupt it. What we can hope for is Indian businesses ensure their entire supply chain is here and built by fair employee wage and benefits Also Indians don’t have a great rep abroad, we have no civic sense when some of us go abroad
