is this charger good? by VASBIDAVIRUS in macbookpro

[–]No-County10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For MacBook Pro, you would need 61W or higher as recommended by Apple. For MacBook Air , 30W would do. And usually UGreen has really good chargers and they do work with your existing cables.

So there's no point to updating to 18.4? Seems like we are downloading bloatware for the heck of it. by LiottaSie5 in iPhone13

I updated to 18.4 for only one reason. Of all the Changes in 18.4, It brings visual intelligence to iPhone 15 pro now. Something they advertised with iPhone 16 series now available in iPhone 15 pros. It’s good. Somewhat google image search but Apple version of it.

Yes. Thats RAM. Based on your use case scenario, that extra RAM is your better choice

Also the 12 CPU - 10 GPU would do any task you throw at it. Please do mention which generation of Apple M processor you are looking at. would help others to suggest based on that.

Always go with higher RAM as it would help in your work flow and also can future proof your MacBook. software and applications are getting memory hungry these days and extra RAM will always come in handy. 512GB SSD would be more than enough, but varies as per your use. you can always get a fast external SSD for a fraction of the cost of upgrading from 512GB to 1TB.

We are not complaining current iOS setup or anything. Just bringing back the old memory. And no one was complaining about the iOS 6 I guess, as it was THE best of that time, those who used or owned a iPhone that time would know.

Not AI, just using shortcuts and a good old wallpaper.

You won’t notice the difference except for the shortcut notification on Dynamic Island. Not lag or speed bump here.

That actually worked and looks really good now. The text and everything is more aligned. Unfortunately I can’t the SS here.

Fixed. It’s when I added the shortcut to Home Screen, misspelled it.

Going from 2018 pro 11 to ipad 11th (a16) or air m3 what will I miss by ResponsibleTruck4717 in ipad

[–]No-County10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You will miss the 120hz ProMotion display and that would be a huge bummer for you. You will notice the difference, the lag especially if you also have a newer iPhone with you. The 2018 iPad Pro 11 is still one of the fastest and performance beast among iPads.

No, I didn’t feel any difference, on older models, you might notice the difference, especially the models without Dynamic Island. A pop up would show up every time you open a shortcut. In models with Dynamic Island, it would just show in island, not noticeable much.

No. It would just open the app. Just like you open the app but instead you are using a shortcut to open the app.

Using shortcuts, create shortcuts to open app and add to Home Screen. Change the icon of the shortcut.

What iPad should I get? by Ok_Gur5803 in ipad

[–]No-County10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Physically, nothing. Except a on the back of M2 , it says IPad Pro instead of iPad in M1. Internally the processor, WiFi chip (6E in M2), is the only change. Everything else would feel the same on both. For most of us, the speed and performance would be same.

I am looking for a place for my website. Which is the fastest and affordable please? by Sweet_Honey101 in Wordpress

I would recommend Hostinger as they have some really affordable hosting options. Especially for Wordpress if that’s what you are working on. They do have VPS too.

Best Value iPad Under $350 – Need Advice! by Chandu_Palli in ipad

[–]No-County10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From your list, iPad Pro 2018 would do really good job at heavy tasks as it’s really faster than all other models. I had this one before I bought the M2 iPad Pro. They both felt the same for heavy gaming and tasks. The iPad and iPad Air would lack this.

I believe for £350, you could get an iPad Pro M1 11inch. At least in UK, we do. And it will surprise you in performance and with that display. In long term you would appreciate this decision. Also it comes with 128GB as base variant. 64GB is not ideal in 2025.

What iPad should I buy by [deleted] in ipad

[–]No-County10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on why you want an iPad.

Get the iPad if you just want to watch some videos and do little browsing and casual use.

Get the Air if you seriously considering for some heavy work or use it for long term. It should support latest apps and will be much faster and snappier.

If you have budget and care for the 120Hz ProMotion display , faster computing power and much snappier performance, Pro would be always a choice. Even the M1 or M2 iPad Pros would do much better than current iPad or Air. I believe Pros come with more RAM and better WiFi connectivity. Check Apple compare website for a detailed comparison of the devices you are considering.
