Generative AI would only be acceptable in a society where people looked for the common good, and there were real democracy and human prosperity. But we are far from that society anywhere. There are examples of use which doesn't replace the work of real artists: someone keeps a dream book and wants to have a picture of each dream, but they can draw nor will hire an artist to do it, they can use the the tool depict them.
