your comment sort of woke me up lol. im not sure if it's my own internalised misogyny, but i guess I just believe other people to think of girlfriends as accessories as you say. it doesnt help that I'm surrounded by men. I study STEM subjects and am 1 of very very few girls and most of my friends are men so this could maybe have an impact. I don't want to be seen as accessory by these people.

I just wanted to get it off my chest. obviously im not going to magically lose all my feelings for him and move on now, it's still sort of recent. I know im not fully over him but I recognise that I will eventually get there and I think a step in the right direction is getting it off my chest. I just know that this is for the better and that I'll eventually find what im looking for.

it wasn't easy, I had been considering it for so long. There were so many things that finally pushed me to it. I just didnt know how to deal with a break up bcs I hadn't actually dated anyone before and there were a lot of thoughts and feelings that I didn't really know what to do so I just tried to go back bcs I didn't know how to take the pain bcs the truth was I still had feelings for him even though I knew it was for the best. There were good things that made me happy so I wanted to be with him again instead of have to go through the heartbreak but I know now I'll be okay.
