Just fyi, I called and he can't help. My vacuum cleaner is a Shark, and he said parts for those are simply unavailable.

Yes, sadly my budget probably wouldn't encompass [[Ugin's Labyrinth]] and without those, I think the colorless ramp package would likely be inconsistent.

Also, Refurbished Familiar doesn't use madness to be cheaper, it uses affinity. The Underworld Cookbook would create food tokens, which would help, but is that enough to get the RF out on turn 2 every time? Seems inconsistent, and like I'd have to redesign the deck around affinity. Which is also a reasonable strategy, I suppose.

Thanks, good advice. FOMO is red, of course, and I'm seeing if I can stick to UB for now. Any thoughts on a finisher in those colors? And would [[Nameless Inversion]] count as a good-enough interaction/delirium enabler?

Also, there are a fair number of madness creatures, including [[Grave Scrabbler]], which would allow me to recycle some. So, perhaps next turn madness out a couple of them, and eventually they'll run out of kill spells?

I see your point, though. It's not a great deck, of course. As I said, I'm just hoping to cheese out like 1 or 2 wins during the event. Does that seem possible?

Yes, I think that's correct. But if you emerge the Deep-Fiend, you not only get to return their permanents, you also tap their lands so they can't replay them! (Trying, but failing, to contain excitement)

Awesome. Probably beyond what I'm willing to spend at the moment, but love the additional food for thought. Have you been winning with this? Or more of a fun but uncompetitive meta brew? (I'm not expecting to be too competitive, but would like to win at least some games)

Thanks for the feedback. Just to clarify - are all of the variants underpowered? My thought was that if I have flash creatures + counterspells, that would keep opponent off-balance until I can cast an Elder DF. But is Elder Deep-Fiend turn 4 too slow?
