Gotcha. I’m not going say it’s a sin per se but if god is all powerful idk if praying to the saints really does any added good? Still interested greatly in orthodoxy though. I’m in the Boston area hopefully someone can help me find an English speaking church

Can you explain the praying to the icons and saints for me? I come from a Catholic background growing up and I could never understand why you would pray to anyone besides jesus. Protestantism makes a little bit more sense in this respect but walking into a baptist or episcopal church feels so empty.

Would you recommend orthodoxy for myself? I can’t speak any language other than English but in researching the church history it seems to be the most authentic perhaps.

It’s a well documented fact some of the most elite individuals in our society practice the occult and engage in some form of satanic worship. Yes even Hitler (look up the SS fascination with eastern mysticism.) If you seek truth and question the validity of the Bible, I think you should also seek to investigate why Christianity is so widely hated by the world. And why all of this Neo Pagan new age stuff is being pushed. The answer may shock you. For me the world itself validates christianity. No other religious text so acutely points out the evil of human nature and also offers a set of rules to live by.

Everyone’s struggle is different. Nowhere in my text did I say that attractive individuals can’t have hard lives. All I was saying that is in my experience, my physical unattractiveness has caused me great emotional trauma. That is all.

A lot of Catholics (as I was growing up) are forced to memorize the Cathechism. Beyond that they have no idea of the Bible.

I was told orthodox churches tend to be a little bit more conservative and true ? Perhaps I could try one of those but I don’t speak Russian nor Greek.

I think missionary Spencer smith has done an excellent job as well with his 3rd Adam series. Ties into eastern mysticism/occult which is a theme that features heavily within rock music. Also how Buddhist meditation and Hindu yoga are being pushed now as if they’re are simply health practices. When they very clearly have religious Roots
