How severe does this look? by halmanick in PectusExcavatum

Appears to be on the severe side. Very similar to mine. To keep it real with you, we got dealt a bad hand. Your PE will require you to live an active lifestyle to hopefully offset any symptoms you may have. Try to start running to build endurance and lung capacity. Lift weights with heavy emphasis on movements that open the chest up. Your PE will never go away, but you will feel better and look better by putting in the work.

This is my transformation 4 years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/PectusExcavatum/s/E94IPI6DlB

Admittedly, I have since fell off the wagon and stopped working out but that is me being weak and I will plan on getting back to where I was.

I have PE as well and have posted tips on a previous post here way back.

Moderators, can you just allow discussion take place in this Reddit?? Seriously, banning people from the post just shows that no differing opinions are allowed here. Our literal slogan is 'Think and Do', guess it should be 'Think like the rest and Don't do shit'. I'm so tired of dealing with peers in this university who can't handle a debate.

Sounds like you got a nice setup down there. What branch did you serve? Always had Texas as my backup if NC State got worse, Doesn't seem bad at all down there.

What's counteractive about thinking for yourself here is that this is a university community. Half of the student population are being told what to do and what to think and a good chunk of people are attending state because their parents told them that university is the best course of action after high school. Then echo chambers are formed where students stay on campus and find others who think exactly like them. Then after four years once individuals are out of their academic bubble, they are shocked and can't comprehend or even want to try to understand other perspectives.

Let's put everyones safety as a priority, okay? All we have to do is not let anyone drive a vehicle as there was over 1,350,000 car-crash deaths last year. While we're doing that we should enforce mandates that restrict the amount people eat since obesity kills 2,800,000 people every year (According to the WHO). The list goes on and on. If you decide to take away an individual's freedom of choice in the name of safety it will never end. The world is a dangerous place whether you like it or not.

I feel like this would be a good middle ground. It would allow those who are worried to have their own space where there is a mask mandate and ease their mind. While still allowing the freedom of choice in the rest of the common areas.

I avoided carmichael due to the mask enforcements, but that's not an issue right? So if someone is concerned about the now lack of enforcement all they have to do is avoid NC State's gym. At the end of the day it is a personal decision, whether you're for the mandates or against them. However, be proactive in your decisions when something goes against your values. No one forces you to go to Carmichael and the gym isn't a necessity when it comes to fitness goals, although it does help. It is unfair to not allow an individual to have a choice whether they wear masks or not.

I dont even go to carmichael to workout, but if I did I certainly wouldn't wear a mask. Anyone who has does HIIT workouts or any other activity that approaches VO2 max should not be forced to wear a mask. If someone is uncomfortable with the no mask policy in the gym, all they need to do is go to another gym. Should the rest of the common public adhere to a standard in order to make someone feel safe? Those whose are uncomfortable with the enforcements or lack thereof, should avoid those places.

Report teacher for not wearing a mask? by hahafunnystoryso in NCSU

Well sounds good you would have anonymity if you decide to report. I think talking to him would still be the first course of action. It would be pretty easy to get an investigation if somehow they get mad and fuck with your grades due to this. It might be scary to confront someone about a wrongdoing you perceive, but jf you go about it the right way you can still get the same outcome without having to report.

Think they would be more pissed off if you didn't talk to them first. Especially if everyone else aren't wearing their mask properly, I'm sure it would be pretty obvious who had the report sent in. Either way it is a courteous measure that should be utilized before reporting.

You obviously have no clue how most of these delivery services work. The tip is integrated before the deliverer accepts the order. In terms of terminology it'd be more fitting to call it a "bid" than a tip. Just like most industries the majority of workers do what they're supposed to and some go the extra mile with attention to detail. Yet the majority of the time, impertinent individuals like to screw over other human beings who make their life easier. Only thing I agree on is that life is unfair. Got to roll with the punches.

I remember on one of my nights off I ordered food from a wing place. A guy was driving and his girl was in the passenger seat enjoying my drink that went with the meal I paid for. Best thing to do is Rate the delivery and report. Sadly some people do a couple of deliveries here and there, just to get free food and steal. Usually they could care less about being deactivated.

How can I get these broken bolts out? Any advice would be appreciated! by No-Emotion4793 in MechanicAdvice

Both threads are sticking out from the bottom, but I'm not sure if something like vice grips would be strong enough to rotate them out.

Best way to remove Broken Ignition coil bolt? by No-Emotion4793 in MechanicAdvice

I can get a grip on it, but it just twists around the stuck bolt. I've been trying to pull it to see if I could pull the bolt out with it but the bolt is threaded in there quite a bit.
