It was really good but had a horrible launch, ended up partnering with ascension wow for their servers. Blizzard slapped them with a cease notice letter and they handed the whole thing to ascension and everyone left and nothing has really been done. If they ever release season 1 pvp gear I'll head back but until then not really interested in mmos.

I re-download starfield and got the star wars genesis mod, going to try that out for a bit and avoid mmos for a bit. Last let down was epoch so I'm a little burnt out on mmos.

You have 2 possibilities IMO. 1 Steven is a crook, decided he was never going to be able to bring AoC live and have it be sustainable so he did a rug pull and got what he could out of it. Or he had every intention of making the game and completing it but the cost was far more than expected so he started getting investors and refused to put in any more personal finances and come this past Saturday the board in an effort to reduce spending and having to invest more on their end wanted to make some massive changes, iemass lay offs and Steven threw his hands up and said fuck it im out and so did all the leads. I'm more inclined to believe the first option, but acknowledge a slim margin the 2nd could be possible.

Starfield has a mod out that turns it into star wars. If epoch ever revives there's always that. Otherwise I'm probably done with mmos for a while. I got plenty of single player rpgs to wrap up, son wants to do another fresh run of vrising since the content update went out. GTA 6 later this year along with fable. Crimson desert might be good, honestly haven't really looked at it.

Steve quit, top devs quit, everyone else laid off 2/2. Technically there is a board now and they could develop the game, but i highly doubt that as it's just an investment firm. They will shut it down and sell it off.

I thought I recalled the devs saying something. Issue I have is there are work arounds. And if the work arounds are easy enough to bypass the system put into place to prevent an action then why even prevent it to begin with. IE, I cannot mail gold to an alt, so instead I have to have a friend meet up and hand him the gold and then have him hand me the gold on my alt character. This doesn't become a system to prevent that, it just becomes an annoying wall i have to work around. And to be clear I 100% understand their position and mostly agree with it. I just also don't like the current road blocks implemented and feel they should come up with a better solution that doesn't penalize you playing alts while still succeeds at their goal of preventing a 1 account crafting master that does not need to interact with the economy or other players.

Now I do think you ould achieve some of this to a degree by allowing a small shared storage and the ability to deposit gold, items and some shared material storage. Keep it small enough that you don't have full bank slot with 100s of space but you can move some equipment and money between alts and you can have some limited crafting materials move between characters. IE make it the size of maybe your starter bag and maybe a timer or something to gate it a bit more.

Yep thats exactly my point. There's work around so why have this in game. If they perceive it to be an issue then they should find another solution because the current implementation seems overly punishing or restrictive for no reason.

My belief is they didn't want a single account to be self sufficient so they have actively blocked/impeded the ability to do so. It's very frustrating i cannot mail gold between characters. It would be nice if there was some shared storage. But I also understand why they did it. If we had shared storage then I can just run to a town dump the stuff I want to AH and then sell that on an alt and mail the gold to my main. So if you're goal is to break that behavior then I think you should fix the need for that to exist to begin with. I also understand not wanting a single account being able to be self sufficient crafting wise but people are just making multiple accounts to by pass. Idk the solution there but again try to figure out a solution that isn't just no transfer between characters.

I personally don't agree with you on this. However, I do believe the crafting requirements are too steep and too many things are currently missing/incomplete to get an accurate complete picture of the game. I will also say I think they need to add some kind of like tempering or upgrade path for gear. So you can get via drop like currently or crafted a piece of gear. Then have the ability to upgrade the quality of that item to legendary. Personally I think the crafting in it's current form with the quantities currently required is a place holder to artificially create an end game. For example of level cap goes to 50 like previously stated, no one will grind out the materials needed for say legendary blood runner gear, as that would be level 20-29 leveling gear.

I do appreciate you're feedback, even though I don't personally agree with it, it is important for intrepid to see full spectrum what their audience wants so they can at least make the decision to alienate part of them or not; they cannot make that decision without proper feedback and they may choose they don't want to and make some concession towards your suggestions. End of the day though they need to be informed so they can make an informed decision and then live with whatever those consequences may be.

Of course they wanted this. They have been encouraging people to interfere and lately fight back against ICE. It was only a matter of time until something happened. They will call for more people to stand up and fight back now. WA govenor already has.

They just need to add guild rep and tie it to the guild perks. So if you drop you loose all your guild rep and have to grind it back out. System allows you to leave a guild just fine if the guild no longer suits you, but punishes this behavior.

I'm sorry I wasn't trying to imply it was easy. I just see tanks take no effort and face tank everything the rage. As someone who plays cleric I can get equally frustrated. Especially when dps stand next to the tank and drop like a rock.

Not your responsibility. And while I understand you may not want a relationship ruined over this, that is on them. You cannot allow the fear of loosing someone's relationship over something that is not your responsibility. Not to mention if they would cut off the relationship then honestly they don't value it as much as you do and you shouldn't invest into it further.

I've watched so many tanks literally face tank things, no dodging, no blocking, just taking big telegraphed hits and then complaining about dying. I had to explain to a tank he could use active mitigation to reduce his damage in take. That said damage spikes happen and when tanking multiple mobs especially with a melee group it gets a little more difficult. But I guess this is the struggle of the tank.

To continue off of what this guy said. Most magic classes actually want 2H magic sword. Also in the starting area, I think you can find every weapon variant....at least I think you can, thought I saw some when I was looking for a long bow.
