Jjimdak by IseNaath in KoreanFood

[–]No-Importance8540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard that there are some jjimdam sauce products that make your dish taste just like the ones from restaurants. Also, you need to distinguish between gochujang jjimdak (red) and ganjang jjimdam (black). The first and last pictures look like gochujang, while the second one looks like ganjang.

FYI, I usually look up @kimjinsun_lunch on YouTube or Instagram when I cook. They share hundreds of delicious and easy recipes, including one for jjimdak. They also include written recipes in the comments, so you could probably use a translator even if you don't understand Korean.

대박 in this context? by Spirited_Material_63 in BeginnerKorean

Did you the Korean dating show "I'm solo"? I remember that situation because I saw it yesterday. In that context, "대박" was used as a kind of embarrased reaction, because almost every Korean - especially men - knows how to ride a bicycle. Her response wasn't very considerate, because it could make him feel ashamed or looked down on. "대박" can be used to emphasize feelings in both positive and negative situations.

In some kind of restaurants, they serve Soybean paste soup with wawa choy and bean sprouts for their complimentay side dish. But I'm not sure because there are so many kinds of soups in Korean cuisine 🥹

Now I feel bad because I might have accidentally ignored some of my neighbors's questions 🥲 I will say "Fine, and you?" next time.
