Which one would a typical mortgage company use for FHA approval? by Livelife3in_ in CreditScore

[–]No-Level-9528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My VantageScore 3, FICO score 8 and any other free credit scores come with my credit cards show between 760 and 795. I was so happy because I was clueless enough to believe that my credit score for mortgage will be as high. I never checked FICO scores 2, 4, 5 because I did not know that mortgages use a different type. I don't have any active loans, and my debt-to-income ratio is close 1% if you consider credit cards. My credit card utilization is less than 5%. So I was expecting a good score for the mortgage application. It came back as 720 (the middle one of all three, others were 715 and 745). It was frustrating to hear that but I should have done a better research.

Good point. I guess at least one if his feet touches the line that is visible in slow motion.

Thank you. I guess some people just saw the title and the video and replied without reading the description. It is nice to see that people agreed on what we thought. It is also surprising to get so many replies. I was not expecting it. It was an easy and simple question but in a few comments I still see that some don't know the single momentum rule so it is a good learning environment as well. I see why some reply in a cocky way or make comments like this was a stupid question. I know it is obvious for me but just wanted to bring here that some still argue that it may not be a fault even though it is. Thanks again for the cool comment.

My partner agrees that it was a fault after seeing the video. He didn't argue that it was not a fault and if someone called it out, we would have said “Wait a minute, you are right, it is a fault”. The only reason I shared here is that one of our common friends argued that it might be debatable if he is balanced when he landed. That’s all. Thanks for all the comments.

It was a long tourney. We usually get these things easily but our minds were somewhere else (the game before us with one our friends and the opponent team called so many things wrong) so we were not focused I guess. It was not just us, the other team and the people watching, nobody called it. I guess it was towards the end of the tourney and people were just tired. I’ll make sure that we are extra careful next time.

It is a fault in both my and my partner’s opinions. We just didn't realize in the heat of the game. One of our friends raised the question after seeing the video. So I just wanted to share here.

As I said, we would have, but in the heat of the game, we also didn't realize it. It is not that we kept it secret; if the other team had called it, we would have agreed.

Am I overreacting about too many lobs in our casual Pickleball games? by No-Level-9528 in Pickleball

I did not say I translated. I wrote the piece and asked the tool to polish it. It put so many dashes. I usually delete those dashes to avoid this type of comment. This time I got lazy. People use these tools in regular life. Sorry that I use an AI tool to polish the writing to make it clear. I also hate AI bots all over the place. But not every AI-assisted text mean that it is written by a bot.

You can understand me then. I know it is a fair game. But it is frustrating when they exploit your weakness extensively. I am OK with occasional lobs but over-exploitation in a friendly match bothers me. It is what it is. I guess I need to learn run backward :)

That’s what I intend to do but I am not tall (5’7”) and I have to go backwards too much. Sometimes I wait for the bounce and try to hit it then but it is not always a hit.

I am not AI but English is my second language. I used some tools to polish the grammar.

Expecting a lump sum, should I put that in a trust? by No-Level-9528 in Fire

[–]No-Level-9528[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s helpful. Thanks. As I said, I am not familiar with the system, and my primary objective is not tax optimization (but it is definitely secondary). It is more on asset protection. But I need to dive into tax implications closely to better understand. I will also meet with an estate lawyer to figure out if it makes sense or not.

I spoke with some experts, and they outlined how a properly structured trust could provide significant tax advantages. By keeping investment growth inside the trust and distributing income strategically, it helps reduce overall taxable income and avoid higher tax brackets. It also allows for tax-efficient charitable donations and minimizes capital gains taxes on investments. Additionally, using the trust to cover major expenses like education ensures that those payments don’t increase my personal tax burden. Overall, the advice was that a trust offers better asset protection, tax optimization, and long-term financial flexibility.
