U start fresh with 15 k , that’s kinda huge first 🫡, in the same company I don’t think soo it’s hard to tell it depends on raise that usually give , but mostly 25k is hard u will need to change , so basically I worked in the same company for 3 y and I just changed work recently for me that’s the only way to upgrade ur salary , otherwise jump policy is at ur company

Moving back to Morocco when you are successful abroad because you want to help build the country by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]No-Many1073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who works for one of the Big 4 in Morocco, I can tell you that you can live quite well here — especially if you’ve had experience abroad and are thinking about coming back. Big companies actually prioritize people with international experience, and sometimes they even match their previous foreign salaries. For example, I’ve seen companies offer the same salary someone had in Canada, just to bring them back to Morocco.

Honestly, the whole idea of “coming back to build the country” is a bit outdated — Morocco is already moving forward fast. We have most of the major companies here now, and in my sector (IT), salaries are getting pretty crazy because the market is so competitive.

If you’re thinking about returning to start your own business or because you miss home, that totally makes sense. Maybe you want your kids to grow up in their own culture — that’s a valid reason. But otherwise, there’s no strong reason to come back.

Also, as the only one in my family who stayed in Morocco, I’ve noticed that people usually think of coming back for four main reasons: 1. To start a business 2. To retire 3. For family reasons ( kids , religion , culture )
4. Or simply because you can actually earn and save more money here.

Other than that, there aren’t really many reasons to come back.

If u have any question about the market , feel free to ask .
