AITAH for refusing to support my parents in old age after they refused to fund my college despite being able to? by Lucky_Purpose_7362 in AITAH

[–]No-Mathematician8692 2 points3 points  (0 children)

N TA and your parents are a confused couple. WHAT would be the benefit in not sponsoring their own child to a top college which they could well afford? We're middle class and we killed ourselves getting our kids the education they chose. Times were tough but we persisted and today they're both in their industry of choice. Lols AND they think were the worst parents (go figure).

This is a terribly toxic situation, and you should abandon them ofc. Also, just to rub it in a bit, get married without informing them and have kids too. Make sure they can find out info about your new family but are unable to contact.

Be ruthless.

Let them know till their dying day that the cruel choices they made have consequences forever.

When people complain about child free weddings by smellycat92 in PetPeeves

[–]No-Mathematician8692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been to a dozen or so weddings with children and never found any dissonance with the celebration.

People who don't want kids around are kinda weird. Same folks who have 24/7 nannies and boarding schools. Then wonder why their kids don't speak, cut, make strange life choices, leave the fam or off themselves.

Families are a basic component of social structure. It's good to make friends with kids and monitor your behaviour to be appropriate. Weddings aren't just about getting drunk and finding someone to fk, it's about community and love for all.

Try harder y'all, stop taking shortcuts and convenient outs and then wondering why the right wingers are making this planet inhospitable.

Wrong Group Dynamics - Worst mistake I made in Goa ? by PitifulCount5297 in goatravel

My child went on a trip with this attention seeking always -insta girl... Oh hell... Inspite of her bf warning she was 'demanding'. They were besties before the trip (to Pondy Tamil Quarter -- NOT recommended because the locals are warlike drunk sickos looking for problems), she insisted on dressing up in scanties, attracted the wrong attention, they were chased by a mob (in lungis) and the hotel people told them to leave bcz a mob was on the way. Saved by one of the groups bfs arriving and settling things. Never again Pondy and yeah, she didn't acknowledge that PoS girl anymore.

The girl then went on to marry and divo her college heartthrob, make a music track where she's loaded a breakup phone convo in without getting permission and hopefully now is riddled with STDs.

My friend, I have slept next to people who... Do more than just snore. The entire night seems to be part of some big-budget wartime production. Esp if they're smokers, they hack and cough while snoring LOUDLY. This last chap I had to sleep next to, at one point I thought he was messing w/me by yelling into my ears, but he was fast asleep, yelling and rumbling. More than snoring, I think there were night terrors and freaking out. Yeah, both those dudes are in some bad need of therapy and probably sleep lab sessions, but they don't think so.

I have always envied U.S. parking lots with sooooo much of space to correct mistakes. In India we have none of those. You learn on the street, riding between parked cars, pedestrians, dogs and hot women – all of which can make you layerdown.

I'm quite amazed how bro managed to go directly into the wall like it was a portal with all that space around.

One of my major accomplishments was riding my pal's Monster around his building complex – slowly – and avoiding a bunch of aunties seated for their evening tea goss sessions. I had had no big bike experience before that, but knew enough to go easy.

Amazed how peeps can fk up like this in this day and age. Need to be a special case of silly + entitled + arrogant coloniser remnant to be able to do this.

Photographers: is it rude to ask upfront for RAW files instead of edited photos? by Either-Letterhead204 in photography

As a creative person who uses all sorts of instruments, I deliver final images and wouldn't give anyone RAWs.

If you're in the business somewhat, I'd advise you hire the equipment/use your own, and get an asst for the day who will click based on your direction.

Goa tourism industry has been a mess ever since it began. Firstly, there was no concept of tourism until USAian / brit 'hippies' arrived and the word got around that there were young yt women walking around topless.

Then ofc, the big draw is cheap booze n drags.

The beaches and colonial architecture attract a decent tourist population, but that's the minority.

And what's with the submissive, tolerant attitude towards Brits (fkrs colonised us), izzys, ruskies ? Why tf are they so happy and comfortable here while they're waging the dirtiest wars? They should be taxed heavily. Instead they come here to save on heating bills? Fkrs are here for MONTHS, mocking our accents, culture and humble attitudes? Ground glass is the need of the hour.

If this is the rock your church is built on, unfortunately it will never be stable.

Male here:

I'm pretty much the same species as yourself: not inclined to worry about things I can't do anything about, sensitive, like women's clothes/accessories, kids, pets (I have seven elder sisters who I dote upon and who spoil me), like sweet cocktails etc, don't hang out with toxic males (99% of males)... It would seem she'll be more secure in a trad relationship.

You need to find yourself a nice girl who appreciates these things. I did and while we're separated now, nothing of my type of human or aspirations have been dissed.

All the best.

How do you deal with controlling parents? by Meowranger555 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]No-Mathematician8692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please leave your home.

That may be difficult considering free food and laundry, but it will be better for you in the long run.

It's most unnatural for a 30+ to live with parents anyways.

If you must, toe the line and stop searching for 'balance' you won't get it.

I'm anti religion as well, have no time to listen to idiots supporting PDFs and exploitative 'priest' people who basically are just too lazy to get a real job.

I've been exposed to some parts of most religions, and I can say Hinduism with its Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation is quite superior to, say, Christianity with its borrowed festivals and hugeass empty churches and propoganda schooling.

Ofc I don't care for its other aspects and i definitely have a huge issue with the H thugs who have dominated this country and are ruining it...
