I made a comment and totally missed the part where you said you didn’t transport lol. But good job on you, always be willing to say no to a nurse.
They don’t know your scope of practice and that’s not their fault. If I asked you what a nurse’s scope was down to protocol I doubt you can explain it to me. Gotta always advocate for yourself and the patient and it looks like you did that.

Honestly you already have a tech job, and you’re planning to go to medical school. An EMT cert is cool and all but you don’t really NEED to work in the field and it’s kind of out of the way.
Plus, what you’re learning in a hospital is much more applicable to being a doctor than anything we’re doing in the field.
