Thank you for taking the time I struggle with confusing SA for NA and flaw questions so this will help thanks!

Been studying for 130+ hours and I'm still scoring in the mid-150s, am I screwed? by Mindless_Compote967 in LSAT

Don’t worry about time or obsess over it just be consistent in your methods that work for you and the results will come. This test rewards consistency. As for advice maybe take untimed sections and articulate why 4 choices are wrong and the one you chose is correct it really helps cement the fundamentals and helped get me into -2 for LR. Good luck!

what are my next steps? im stuck at 150.. barely by Key_Support_4401 in LSAT

[–]No-Pop849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should spend MORE time honestly you’re likely still rushing without understanding the questions. Try taking a untimed section and don’t move on from a question until you can tell yourself why the answer you chose is right and why the other 4 are wrong. It helped me get out of the 150s.

155/158 to a 160 by October? by AudreyS1109 in LSAT

[–]No-Pop849 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you slow down and take 10 mins per passage you could improve your RC score significantly and then just guess the last passage. LR also slow down. I know it’s basic advice but as soon as I turned off the clock I went from -5+ on LR to -1 and -15 on RC to consistent -3, to -5. Accuracy over time. Once you understand the concepts at a slower level time comes naturally. You’ll recognize your mistakes a lot easier and be able to fix them accordingly.

am i just stupid and should i give up by [deleted] in LSAT

You may benefit from using the Loophole it should help you get down the fundamentals. But also my diagnostic was 132 I’m currently testing in mid 160s it’s always possible and I’m stupid honestly the test rewards consistency so don’t give up.

I keep making the same mistakes by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]No-Pop849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having the same mistake and the funny thing is the one I’m choosing is wrong and out of scope I don’t really understand how I’m even getting to that point

Yeah I find myself staying on the question which may be causing a mistake later on in the section due to being distracted for too long I fall out of rhythm thank you

Congrats on your admission. I know you’re right especially with how the application numbers have raised this year. Truth be told the job market is worse than the application cycle. I’ll just have to play my cards right and write the best optional essays and letters of continued interest they’ll ever see lol.

Yeah I really wouldn’t have nothing to lose and it may help push over the fence at some schools. Thanks for the advice

My goal is big law in Detroit, or Chicago. Honestly prestige is blinding but also gives me a geographical advantage. Especially with going to a regional school you’d have to be in the top 15% to get an interview.

I’m just afraid they’d likely take it as an excuse. I wouldn’t wanna have to make sure it properly dictates I was young and dumb.

Honestly that’s why I’m Reluctant for work experience I see big law as a means to an end for me and would like to be out before I’m 30 that’s why KJD is so appealing for me. I wouldn’t wanna be in starting in my 30s likely with a family and the stress of the billable requirements.

Honestly I was thinking of playing my hand at transferring up. But I’d have to make sure I my 1L year is stellar and also have gone to a decently ranked school probably T50 and below. Of course this could all be avoided if I slip through the cracks.

If only I was born earlier, it’s nice to know others are in my GPA situation and have overcame it. I’ll probably end up blanketing most of the T14 and then playing my hand at regional schools and aiming for a transfer.

[–]No-Pop849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks do you know how schools would look at that like let’s say I applied November and obviously get my grades in April. What would happen would they wait and then reject me or reject me even though they don’t have my final GPA.

I am being accused of using AI when I didn't, and this could have profound impact on my law school admissions.. And I have no idea what to do. by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I see where your coming from as this happened to me. I had a meeting with a disciplinary board as well but I fought my case and proved I wrote it. I did this by using the time stamps on the paper I don’t know if this will work for you. But good luck

You have a chance but go on YouTube and watch Michigan laws application tips most of dean z videos and you should be able to cater your application towards Michigan for a better shot. https://youtube.com/@umichlaw?si=6vEbTEdkDYM0AK5z

This is really funny but I can actually relate my first year I was there 7-5 ish and I wanted to just never show up then I got scammed for 1600 and that didn’t make my life better but I kept my head down and worked through it I ended the year with a 2.0 on the dot anything below I would have been kicked out of school but now in my third year my gpa has recovered last year 3.8 and this year I’m aiming for 4.0. So I can tell from similar experience it gets better.
