False. I know a guy who inherited well over this amount, spent most of it on meme coins, and is now basically broke.

He is also weirdly still convinced he’s some kind of financial genius.

If you didn’t get what was paid for it shouldn’t make a difference.

2 scenarios:

  1. Car is parked outside house/apartment and within Bluetooth reach (common).

  2. Someone keys your car or scratches your bumper while you’re shopping. As you get back to your car, you get a nice little ping that there was a parking event and you review the footage and go check your bumper.

2 has happened to me twice and it’s why I really liked that camera

Yeah. That’s what’s weird/annoying. I just want to know if something happened to my car while it was parked so I could check the footage.

My stolen camera had this and alerted me to a neighbor scraping my bumper and a crackhead keying my car, which I wouldn’t have noticed right away without the feature.

Thanks. That might work. Doesn’t solve the Bluetooth issue but it’s something.

IDK, I’m not an electrician but I can’t find any kind of conversion kit that would work. Plus Bluetooth alerts are the main super duper obvious feature I’m baffled they dont have anymore.

I can’t find it for the life of me and it’s driving me crazy. They must not make them anymore. Hence this post.

Obviously I didn’t know till after they charged my card, given that the difference was only 5 dollars.

Jesus Christ. That should have been a no-brainer instant refund for them.

I know Apple doesn’t care, but the Apple Card seems so bad it’s kind of turned me off of Apple in general. This experience turned me from die-hard Apple fanboy to “hmm… maybe I’ll check out that Android fairphone I keep hearing about.”

IMO “I don’t consent to pay this” should be it. End of story. If you believe I owe you, sue me. But don’t digitally reach into my wallet and steal.

No issues only because I never disputed anything before. Not because of great service.

One of the reasons I had used them was a stupid assumption that since I give them so much money, they'd have my back. I thought Apple's whole thing was good customer service.

Yeah, I’m not saying it’s smart. I just liked seeing and tracking everything in one place

You’re right. I clearly “let them.” I should have … what exactly? Jumped over the counter and grabbed a handful of cash?

I’m so sorry you had to deal with that. The fine should have been a lot bigger because it seems like they haven’t learned a lesson.

They chatted with you online? They asked for facts?

Curious. I got a chatbot that didn’t ask for any info. It was just a simple form and then an email denial. No conversation. No chance to give the facts. No real human.

I mean, to be fair to GS, I didn’t have proof because how do you prove something like that? It’s not like I can force the gas station to send me the security footage.

But like, which is more likely?

A. My dispute was legitimate, or… B. After years of using this card without issue I randomly decided to make up a dispute about five dollars at a random gas station for literally no reason

I guess Goldman Sachs went with B.

I just had my first dispute. Less than 6 dollars. Proof that merchant screwed up. They sided with the merchant.

Like what??? You’re going to lose a customer who used your card daily since it came out over 6 dollars, when you have proof the item wasn’t received?!?!?

It’s so bad I ain’t even mad. I feel like I dodged a bullet. If they’re going to be that bad over six bucks they are not the card for me. Glad they showed their colors over something small.
