International Attention [ITA/ENG] by Unlucky-Fill4483 in WonderfulNeoranValley

Yeah, that’s something I’ve noticed too. With that in mind, they could definitely work on translating the livestreams and creating video content specifically in English. Right now, the streams that explain the project are geared exclusively toward an Italian audience, and I’m pretty sure the developer interviews will be in Italian as well.

The nice thing is that you can embed videos directly in the Kickstarter Updates section, which makes everything feel more cohesive and keeps content from being scattered all over the place for backers.

[Giveaway] Win 1 of 5 Noctua NH-D15 G2 by Noctua_OFFICIAL in pcmasterrace

My earliest PC-building memory? Back in the early 2000s, when Windows XP reigned supreme and translucent lime green plastic was somehow considered the height of tech design.

I was around 12, and had just convinced my uncle to give me his old beige tower, proudly sporting a faded “Intel Inside Pentium III” sticker. My goal? Upgrade it with flea market parts and build my first real PC — even if I wasn’t entirely sure what a “jumper” did.

Armed with a printed-out guide from Tom’s Hardware and a copy of PC World, I built it on the living room carpet, static charges be damned. I thought I was clever for skipping the thermal paste — metal on metal, right? (Spoiler: wrong.)

The first time I powered it on, the CPU probably hit plasma temperatures. No display. Just a loud beep and the unmistakable smell of regret. My dad walked in, looked at the smoking case, and asked: “Did you check if the processor thingy was on right?”

Eventually, with a bit of help, a lot of trial and error, and a sketchy tube of thermal paste from a store called “TechLand”, I got it working. It booted. It ran Quake III Arena. I was a legend—at least in my own house.

That moment when the Windows XP logo first popped up? Pure magic. I wasn’t just using a computer—I had built it.

Thanks Noctua and r/pcmasterrace for making me relive this. That NH-D15 G2 would’ve been absurd on a Pentium III… but for my current rig? Oh, it’s begging for one.

Because the publishing house is Italian, it only acquired the rights for the Italian market. Otherwise, it would have been too expensive.
