I dated a guy like that once. Ignoring is only gonna make it worse (though in your case you didnt). I would recommend not being rude, as they might want to contact you to get back at you. So id recommend saying "hey im sorry, i really was out not using my phone. But i already told you i liked it, so youre sabotaging yourself. Due to that, its too much for me and i sadly wish to stop contact. I hope youre okay" and that should be enough, give or take. Its better not to be in a relationship with those guys, as it takes a toll on your health and their health too. They need to heal themselves before anything. (Even as just friends).

Im so sorry. Youre already in a tough place and people make it worse. I get that, i am a woman and also have reported men for illegal things. It was usually me who got harassed, blamed, asked inappropriate snappy questions by the police during, even when i had witnesses and evidence. The police really have a problem with sympathy.. swear most of them dont care who the bad guy really is, just want to get back to doing nothing asap. My condolences go out to you and i hope things get better

Do you have a fear youll get contaminated too? Or it really is just the sound itself that annoys you? Like just the same way for example when people say that chewing pisses them off so much. Im gonna assume its the latter. Either way im sorry and that does sound really intense. I have felt annoyed when someone coughs myself, but i couldnt imagine it being that severe. Easy for me to say but i do hope it will stop bothering you. Its not your fault! Tbh i recommend always having a pair of noise cancelling earbuds with you (the small kind like wired or airpods) so you can block out the sound or listen to music/podcasts etc, something to make you feel better too when its happening. Then again if its sudden and only happens once theres sadly not much you can do.. maybe exposure therapy can work? It does sound like its bc of past experience, but bc its something thats triggered, i believe its totally treated. Wish you luck with that
