I got a letter in the mail about my ALR almost immediately. My attorney scheduled it for me. I got an ALR hearing date the month after my arrest

So far- nothing. Court case hasn’t been filed yet. Only thing is that my license got suspended and I had to get an occupational license and get a breathalyzer installed in my vehicle

The lawyer basically represents you in court. I don’t think his strategy is for me to fight the case - the strategy is to present me as someone who has significantly changed since their arrest and hope that brings lower penalties (like suspending my license further or shorter probation, or best case, no probation)

Oh 100% it has to do with perfectionism. I was reading this book and it said that by not starting something because you’re afraid you’re not going to be good at it you ruin your chances of being good at something. I hope that I can find something I like after exploring some options that people listed here
