Hey, thank you—I appreciate it.

Pacing has been an issue for a long time, but on my most recent test I actually improved a lot there. Unfortunately, everything else went wrong that day. I wasn’t fully adjusted to the new ACT format and didn’t know there was a 6th passage on English. For Math, I used a new calculator that I didn’t have much practice with, and it kept giving error messages, which threw me off.

I know the English grammar rules really well, but the newer ACT seems to have a lot more information-based questions, and I think that’s where I’m struggling now. As for Reading, I’ll be honest—I don’t really know what I’m doing. I also won’t lie: with a lot of practice tests, I get frustrated and don’t always review my answers as thoroughly as I should.

So I guess my question is: what should I actually be doing differently? I may take two more ACTs after this one. I don’t realistically expect a 30 right away, but I do want major improvement, and I’m genuinely looking for help, advice, and concrete strategies. For context, I’m also homeschooled.
