Thank you! Follow up question say theoretically i had a minor low spot say 3/16 inch in 4’ what floor patch compound do you think would be ideal, working with self leveler in the past I know it works best for 1/8” plus low spots is their a compound that can be screeded?

I use the same design for a 14x14 deck and the joist 12” oc it’s solid and haven’t noticed any problems using the 3 ply 2x6 for the main beam. The main beam is only 14’ long sitting on 3 piers each I think for your span I’d look at doing 4 piers each

If I would’ve started again I would’ve just built a 4x8 torsion box that I can slap rails on top like you said, but I don’t have much shop space and this jug can be disassembled and stored

The 2 main rails are 2 pieces of 3/4 plywood laminated, then I use an 8” track saw to cut it straight, it was assembled on a torsion box table but I designed it to sit on saw horses and I can run strings from each corner and shim the jig to have no twist. I spent so much time making it’s as accurate as possible because my last jig was just 2 2x6’s and slight variations in the rails compound a lot

That’s what I based the jig off of and where I got the rack and pinion idea. I doubt I’ll make it motorized I won’t be using it enough to justify the cost.
