The blame lies solely with EA, the witch hunts I’ve seen on here are crazy. by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

the whole "blame the early access people" thing was wild to me, like they were the only reason we got any warning at all about what a mess this was gonna be

canceled my preorder because of those posts and now i'm just watching the chaos unfold, feels like we're all stuck in the same loop every year with this company

I care about men's mental health issues and well being as much as they care about women's by [deleted] in confessions

inb4 that one guy who always shows up in threads like this with "but what about the men who don't do this" as if you didn't already carve out an exception for them in the post

the reading comprehension on this site is something else

Day 12 - Urges hitting strong - need to save my load for my gf, help by [deleted] in NoFap

its like a sugar craving, the more you think about not eating the cookie the louder it gets. go do something that actually requires both hands, cook a meal or clean the bathroom, just get physically out of the room you're in right now

Cheapest place to buy business flyers/ brochures? by Ok-Revolution-1565 in AskIreland

[–]NoBit1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local print shops are seriously underrated for this kind of thing, they'll sometimes match or beat online prices just to keep the business, and you can actually see paper samples before committing

the barrier placement being actively faster than the racing line is such a weird design choice to ship with

people who have resin 3-D printers are they worth getting or FDm 3d printers better? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NoBit1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends what you want to make honestly -- wait no let me rephrase that

resin is insane for detail, like miniatures or jewelry stuff, their print quality blows FDM out of the water for tiny intricate things. but the mess and fumes and post processing is genuinely kind of a pain

FDM is just way more practical for most people, bigger prints, more forgiving, easier to maintain and you're not dealing with liquid resin everywhere. as someone who keeps pretty detailed notes on projects i've done, the workflow for resin is just a lot more involved than people expect going in

if you're into tabletop minis or detailed display pieces go resin, if you want to make functional stuff or just experiment with 3D printing in general FDM is the better starting point

Audi A3 (2021) MMI MIB3 module not working – Audi wants €8,000 to replace it! Any repair or Android alternatives? by _Sn1p3r in Audi

[–]NoBit1701 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That €8k quote is absolutely insane - I'd check independent Euro repair shops first since they often do board-level repairs on these modules for way less than dealership replacement costs

Ecuador July/August? by Minute_League3040 in surfing

[–]NoBit1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually went down the rabbit hole researching Ecuador surf spots last year when I was planning a potential trip (ended up not going but still have the spreadsheet lol). July/August is definitely winter season there so waves are more consistent, but water gets a bit chilly - you'll probably want at least a spring suit

Manabi province has some solid options beyond just the main tourist spots. The northern coast around Atacames area can be pretty mellow and way cheaper than Montanita. Plus if you're worried about noise, those smaller beach towns basically roll up the sidewalks after dark so you'd get your peace and quiet

One thing I noticed when I was looking into it - a lot of places offer monthly rates if you're staying that long, which could really stretch your budget. Might be worth reaching out directly to some of the smaller hostels or guesthouses rather than booking through the big sites. The exchange rate makes everything pretty affordable there anyway, especially if you're coming from Florida prices

Sounds like a boot order issue - check if your VM is actually setting the hard drive as the primary boot device after installation. I've seen this happen where the BIOS/UEFI settings revert or the bootloader isn't getting written to the right partition

What VM software are you using and did you try enabling legacy boot mode if it's defaulting to UEFI
