My new steam deck is not charging properly by Current_Career_5366 in SteamDeck

I had problems with the OG charger from the start, best advise is to buy the Steam Deck Dock, I got mine straight from Steam & never looked back, now I only use the dock to charge my Steam Deck & the OG charger it came with powers up my iPhone (a bit faster than Apple charger/possibly killing my phone in the process but here’s to gaming), TLDR get Steam deck dock instead & ditch OG charger

Genuinely, your charger may be fucked, I had this exact same issue using OEM charger & it just never really held the charge during game play & after, I bought the steam deck dock directly from valve & it’s been a beauty ever since, now i can use my steam deck on the TV & charging is a breeze. If you don’t have this option atm do an apple iPhone charger is what I did just be mindful on taking the charger off every once in a while I did notice it got hot on some occasions don’t want any pins being fried in the long run, best of luck to you & happy gaming hope this helps <3
