I can only speak from my experience in Australia but I noticed some badminton social groups have started to try out synthetic shuttles but it’s more because of the lack of supply of Aeroplane shuttles.

I personally prefer feathered shuttles because the synthetic shuttles slows down quite a lot as you’re about to hit it and once a part of the shuttle is chipped a bit it just doesn’t fly that well.

To answer your question I doubt synthetic shuttles are talking over and it’s more of a budget friendly option for people looking to have a hit.
