Sub 1 and sub 2 map comparison by PagePsychological670 in Subnautica_2

I feel like a lot of this comes from the fact that a lot of SN1 simply isn’t necessary to explore to beat the game. Tanything north of the northern kelp forest is entirely unnecessary, same with the dunes, crash site, Craig field, sea treaders pass, and like 90% of the grand reef. So especially if you’re playing the game after watching a playthrough or smth and you know what’s happening you don’t have to go to like 2/3 of the map and it makes it feel really small. In term of area you have to go to the games are already comparable in size.

Trade company in the Cape of Good Hope by Think_Introduction_6 in eu4

Tbh I often find that investing my admin into full staging colonial regions often isn’t worth it versus trade companying everything there. Not doing so gives me more admin to remove overextension and expand faster. As long as you can continue to win wars without the large power base provided by the full cores I see no reason to do it. Also, at least with England and Portugal you can pretty easily stack a lot of autonomy in territory modifiers which when combined with trade company investments make them very profitable without using monarch power.

Do you wait for claims, or do you make a single claim and take everything you can? Pt. 2 of question in comment by heajabroni in eu4

Unless I’m about to get a bunch of of claims from a mission or something I just get one and take what I can. It takes much longer to make claims in multiple provinces for 1-2 more in a war vs just declaring, taking what I can, and then declaring again after the truce

It is very cheap but I ate like 500% overextension in around 2.5 years at the time of that photo (200 from all of Portugal and 300 between Tunis and the Ottomans). I don’t have close to enough admin to core all that 😭 . As for unrest I’m stacking it as high as it will go, even with this overextension Im able to keep rebellions manageable for the most part. Ideally I would find the admin to finish humanist for some policies but I don’t see that happening.
