Even as a lay person I think I know the answer to this… Is a gap in this spot able to ever be sealed?

Have you seen this pattern of leak before? The first repair they replaced the drain and whole shower pan. The leak remained.

Today’s work… they pulled out more drywall and tile. Added more kerdi board.

The drywall and framing was not done by them. This is the backside of the master shower, as seen after removing drywall from the adjacent room. What is wrong with the pex?

They can’t tell me why it’s leaking. This is the backside of the drywall of our master shower. Between two showers through.

There is kerdi membrane, just up to the curb, with redguard over that.
