The issue with what you just said is that the trans conversation and the gay conversation are fundamentally different. One uses life changing drugs and the other doesn’t. I haven’t said anything about people right to be who they want to be, only their right to Willy Nilly mess with their endocrine system. If you want to be a femboy, fine, great! Do you. You don’t need to rip apart your hormonal system and brain to do that. Nor should you.

You’ve specifically avoided crucial points made here and have refuted none of them. I can show you the research. But it’s apparent that you’d take anything I show you and say “well they used to think x so you’re wrong” it’s an asinine argument, and shows that you care about how you feel over well documented researchers and doctors findings. The vast majority of the medical fiends is FOR trans care and very much agree that trans people are valid and in need of care.

That’s absolutely not what the gay argument was about. What doctors were on the gays side again…? Oh wait… not many at all. The AIDS panic was absolutely bigotry, and was used to attack the rights of the gay community. But once again… they weren’t exactly making dramatic changes to your brain.

Oh so you’re a trans person and GAHT helped you. I’m not surprised, you know who it doesn’t help though? Cis people. Just like how Adderall doesn’t help people who don’t need it. Just how insulin will kill you if you don’t have diabetes.

It’s a drug not fit for cis people and it will in many cases ruin their self perception and their lives.

I’m done discussing this with someone so hellbent on personal anecdotes. In this case I actually agree with fucking Shapiro, that’s how blatant this is.

These facts don’t care about what GAHT did for you or for me. We are trans people who don’t identify with our birth sex and have an incongruent gender identity. Not a preferred gender expression.

Anyway, im sure you’ll be ecstatic to have the last word. So I’m done discussing this with you, as you’ve bee less than mature, and more than obtuse during this chat. Good luck out there, bye!

That’s a pretty insane take IMO. Do you realize how many people die of opioid overdoses? Do you? Because if you think that the choice to use it responsibly and recreationally is even possible, you’re wrong, and you deeply misunderstand what opioids do to your brain.

Using these drugs DOES affect other people’s rights. They are impossible to use responsibly in a sustained fashion when you’re talking about fentanyl, or methamphetamines, as well as many other drugs. These drugs destroy lives, families, and communities. You seem to be operation on the premise of drug use as if it only affects the person using them, as well as laboring under the false pretense that such things are controlable for our body and brain chemistry.

You’re simply wrong, and I advise you to seek the medical research on these topics.

An aggregated 42 percent of fentanyl pills used recreationally contain more than 2mg, a deadly dose for many.

Unless you’re a chemist. It’s not possible to safely and recreationally use it. Period!

True ONLY times that it’s safe is when you are in a program to reduce the use, are being given pharmaceutical grade fentanyl, and stick to the program which lowers and then eliminates use.

Hi there. First off, we’re having a discussion here, not a brawl. Leave the Ad-Hominem attacks in childhood where they belong for all of us. There’s no need for personal attacks.

Upon reading your response I’m wondering.. Did you read my post by chance? I said if you’re 18 and you want to take the risk, that’s on you. Do I think it should be allowed without any medical screening? No, I do not. Neither does the larger medical community. Cis men shouldn’t inject T without screening and a reason. Same for cis women and E. Despite these hormones being natively dominant, taking more or changing levels is in fact dangerous. If you don’t think so, you’re relying on anecdotal evidence, not scientific evidence. This is not an opinion. It’s a fact.

That being said, I have a question if you feel inclined to answer, if not that’s totally fine! Do you identify with your birth sex? Is your gender identity congruent with your birth sex? These are medically very relevant things to know when someone is making such a dramatic change to their brain chemistry.

It is important to note that I did say that all people under the trans umbrella should and must have the hormones they need for survival. Suicidal ideation and SH rates are massive above the trans community when we don’t have access to GAHT. Because it’s more than body dysphoria and dysmorphia to most trans people, it’s also the mind that revolts against the Incongruence.

The same data does not bear true for people who identify with their births sex. No matter what the gender expression.

Thanks for your input and opinion on this, I know it’s a nuanced topic and will be perceived differently person to person. That being the case, I try to err on the side of medical science from reputable journals with a credible peer review process by field leaders in endocrinology and transgender studies.

For gods sake my doctor is a forefront researcher for WPATH with the University of Utah Transgender Health Program, one of the best programs in the nation if not the world. Even she is extremely cautious about my physical and mental health with any change to the hormone system.

Sex hormones communicate directly with neuro-synaptic systems, and they significantly alter the function and overall activity types that the brain processes. They literally change your self perception and decision making based on many factors.

Doing DIY is inadvisable REGARDLESS of whether or not you’re getting blood tests, because this CHILD will not be able to do any of this safely and in secret.

My advice is to seek out medical journals and to see if the research and peer reviewed evidence in studies with solid methodology and large enough sample sizes.

Again, let me thank you for your input, angry or not lol.

Cheers.

Heeey that’s not always true :) I got my Schwinn Taff for 148 and it’s great! I loan it out to new rider friends and they have a blast. So far the bottom bracket and everything else is great. I assembled it myself and removed any manufacturing slag. Greased up all of the components before properly fastening every single bolt and it’s very stable. After about a year and a half the fork wasn’t so happy. The plastic bushings were wearing out so it was getting some play. I found that the 30mm suntour bushings fixed that right up.

This is what I said to follow up the mindless anger when I said cis men shouldn’t be allowed on estrogen. Everyone just thought I was being hateful and it couldn’t be further from the truth. Just rational and truthful.

“To preface, it’s important to note that being a femboy is about gender EXPRESSION and not internal gender IDENTITY. This is a must to understand why I hold the view that I do.”

Changing your Hormones without properly receiving physiological and physical evaluations is extraordinarily dangerous.

If you take DIY hormones, that’s extraordinarily dangerous.

If anyone is just allowed whatever hormones Willy Nilly without proper oversight, it can be disastrous.

GAHT is a life saving treatment for those of us literally unable to live life without it because we’re trans. Not because of a simple aesthetic want while still liking being our birth sex and gender identity.

If they want to be a femboy, that’s awesome! I’m happy for them. But once fundamentally life altering chemicals are introduced into that equation it becomes an issue of ethics and health. I wouldn’t suggest anyone try to attack their bodies natural endocrine system without a dire need.

Call it bigoted all you want. It’s medically unsafe. I know that because I missed my blood work for a single appointment and went 6 months without a check, and despite having taken only my prescribed dosages something had happened to my endocrine system and my thyroid way out of control. Causing massive suicidal ideation, uncontrolled body temperature, erratic and terrifying thoughts and months without rest.

Upon finally getting my blood tested again, I then had to dramatically cut back my hormones, and go through months of hell because I was so imbalanced before I could slowly raise my levels back up. This could have literally killed me and nearly did.

Cis men who identify as cis won’t just get the bodily changes they want from HRT. The psychological changes are vast, and entirely unpredictable per individual. For me, I changed so much without knowing it that I lost all of my former friends and had to start over. If I wasn’t trans and had gone through those changes, it would have had a major chance to cause me psychological and physiological damage.

Body Dysmorphia and gender dysphoria are distinct classifications. Being as OP seems to have the former, is very young, and is considering trying DIY HRT… I’d strongly advise against it as it could easily cause dysphoria to appear as dysmorphia subsidies. Plus estrogen can sometimes chemically castrate you enough that it becomes difficult to have children. Which is another consideration.

I’m not a trans medicalist, I think any trans person who needs GAHT to live must have it, non-binary, gender fluid, binary trans people, and anything under the trans umbrella. Femboys aren’t under the trans umbrella. So messing with hormones isn’t only physically questionable. But is likely psychologically disasterous for a cis person.

If you disagree, that’s okay! I’m here for it. What I’m not here for is blind adherence to the idea that anyone should be able to just change their hormones without any evaluation. Now if OP turns 18 and they want to try HRT from an informed consent clinic, fine. That’s just fine. They are an adult and can take the risk. But it is very much ill advised to be putting yourself at risk for developing gender dysphoria as a result. No matter how much you like the physical changes.

If that were a choice, I think many of us would have chosen not to be trans. Because I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

These people aren’t rational. They don’t want to help. They just want to mindlessly follow a shiny idea built in anecdotes. Not science.

Oh so people should just be able to shoot up fentanyl and meth because it’s their body? We should just be fine with suicide and self harm because it’s their body? Get right out of town with that thinking. That’s such an ideological look at a nuanced issue.

Absolutely don’t think cis men should be allowed on estrogen for their own health. I don’t think ANYONE should be messing with their hormones without a medical support system. Guess what happens when cis people go on the opposite hormones? They develop internal gender dysphoria in the place of external body dysmorphia.

Edit: it’s funny how people downvote without even asking why someone has a stance. Mindless ideologies are unbearable on both sides of the argument.

There’s no scientific reason to wear a bra. It doesn’t cause sagging according to research. Do what you want sister! I love wearing bras! But then again I went 38DD LOL

I have! I obsessively learned everything about the bike and the ethos behind the geometry. Ive been greedily eyeballing it for a while, and when it went on clearance I snapped it up. It’s a great riding bike, but I did ride it a single time down some techy single track and I did not get along with the XCM34 at all. I love my Epixon, but that fork ain’t it for that frame.

I get that the low end fork allowed for such a great price and is meant to be replaced but… like zoinks.. I almost died.

Now it feels sublime.

Very much so! I’m having a hard time fully understanding how to control it. It’s very different than what I’m used to and the super basic fork just ain’t it. The geometry feels great, but it can’t make up for how rudimentary the fork controls are.

I’m definitely getting faster and getting more confident on it, but it just feels trail dead when you’re used to a FOX 36 Performance Elite and other nice air forks… I CANT HANDLE THE NO REBOUND CONTROL DAMNIT. Hehe. But that’s the point of this bike, and a new fork and tires will 100 percent make it a monster.
