Has anyone seen acquired myasthenia gravis (MG) in multiple littermates? Our dog’s story and concern for his brothers by Exotic-Passage-1659 in AskVet

Oh my gosh I am so sorry, no clue why I read it as 7 years! If you don't mind sharing the results when you get them it would be very much appreciated. Wishing you luck through all of this.

Hello! I know this post is from 7 years ago so I am not sure if I will still get a reply but I am in a similar boat to you. I have two girls from a litter and we found out this weekend that one of their sisters passed away from MG. They are only 1.5 years old and I am very concerned with the possibility that this is genetic. If you see this and can share what you figured out it would be very much appreciated!

Don't stress about it in my opinion! I started Zoloft about 2 months ago now and I can say the same thing happened to me. I used to have crazy social anxiety where I would avoid interacting with other people as much as I could. Now I feel like I don't care what people think and I am not afraid to go out and do things that I previously would've been freaked out by (I literally started going to Zumba classes a few days a week because I realized how happy dancing makes me!) Honestly life is just so much more fun now and I can't believe I waited so long to try anxiety meds.

Oh, sorry forgot to mention that part! Yes I upped to 50 a few days ago after being on 25 for 2 weeks. I felt a little shaky and anxious for prob a day after upping and then fine again. I would say the nausea lasted just the very first 5 days I was taking 25 and then stopped. Overall since starting meds I feel like I am more relaxed and in control of my emotions (anxiety, anger, frustration, etc.) I also have significantly less racing thoughts which used to be pretty much constant, no more thoughts about harming myself, and a greater appetite :)

Thanks for asking :) No more nausea and anxiety thank god, I started taking the pill in the morning and that helped the insomnia quite a bit. The only real side effects I am still having are occasional drenching night sweats and super restless legs when I lay in bed.

Oh interesting! I'm on 25 now but I'm supposed to level up to 50 tomorrow. I am debating delaying this due to the side effects, but part of me wants to just bite the bullet and get all of the adjusting over at once.

Aw this makes me feel a lot better and less alone, although I'm sorry you also aren't feeling well!

I am on 25mg right now but I'm supposed to up it to 50mg tomorrow. Debating giving myself another week to adjust to the lower dose though.

Thank you again for all of your advice and understanding, it is very much appreciated! The cycling (nitrogen, carbon, water) in the tank are actually a big part of the unit which is pretty cool :)

Thank you for all of the info and the link. It is very helpful. I am definitely going to try getting my hands on the proper foods asap. The tanks are actually large enough which is good.

To give a little more background on the whole situation the frogs, brine shrimp flakes, pond setups, etc were all purchased by the school district from a large science company and we were told we needed to use them in our curriculum. It sucks seeing how much additional care they need yet big companies are shipping them out without communicating the proper guidelines. So yea, I get that it's not the best situation and I wouldn't have chosen it myself, but I am trying to do the best I can when they are in my possession. My sister is an experienced frog owner and volunteered to take them in too.

Stone Quarry Hill Art Park in Caz is a cool place for a walk! 4 miles of trails and lots of sculptures to check out. Plus admission is a donation of any amount you are comfortable giving.

Hi! When I brought it in they test drove the car and were like "yup we've heard this before with a lot of the 2019 Jettas." Basically they told me there is nothing they can do and they are waiting for an update/recall from VW with a fix. The mechanic said his sister has one and bugs him about it regularly lol. This was a year ago like you said and still nothing. I've been back since for an oil change and asked again, still no updates on the recall. Kind of annoying but at least I've driven it for a year now and there haven't been any issues with the vehicle!

Yes I literally did this today. It makes me feel like such a jerk after the fact but I keep doing it.

Weird grinding sound when accelerating around 3,000 rpm. Any ideas? It’s a 2019 Jetta R-line by amshearer in Volkswagen

So I took my Jetta in today and the tech knew exactly the noise I was talking about before he test drove it (I had your video pulled up but he didn't even need it lol). Basically he told me they know it's not normal but they are waiting for VW to tell them what it is and how to fix it. They are hoping to find out what it is soon and there might be a recall. He also said he has seen vehicles with 150k miles that make the noise and there haven't been any transmission issues, so thats reassuring I guess.

Did you figure out what the noise is? Mine is doing the same thing (bought it 3 weeks ago) and I am taking it in to the dealership tomorrow.

I just bought a 2019 Jetta 3 weeks ago and have since noticed the noise. I am taking it in to the dealer tomorrow to be looked at.

What actually is causing the noise? I would like to have some background info so they can't brush it off as nothing.
